Re: I just released a new Loop Pack, it should go great in your
do you have any electric guitar riffs available that are dry? no compression, no distortion, no EQ, no effects.
I think I would be more interested if I could add my own effects to raw guitar samples as I please.

Re: NI Battery users: what's the added value in Ableton?
my favorite is the kits in Synthetic Drums 2, which has been discontinued by NI. http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/4617562/Native_Instruments_NI_Synthetic_Drums_2_Kontakt_3_VST_VSTi_Sampl load em up into Battery and your ready to go. drum racks are good for some things and Battery is better for others...

Re: giving a sampled note more sustain
maybe you're not interested in using a separate application to stretch notes, but...
Melodyne has the ability to stretch notes in a very musical way, may be what you're looking for.

Re: Note sliding in Live?
you just want pitch bends right?
draw in your pitch bends with "CMD+b" in the midi clip
you can also get glide/portamento if it is available on the synth:

slightly off topic...
what notation software are you using? I've been thinking of buying either Sibelius of Finale; does anyone have an opinion on either?

Re: Reverb Quality
Ableton's Reverb sounds fine. it is certainly not the best reverb for every application of sound design. but it does not deserve all hate-talk and shatting-upon that a lot of users give it. i love the fact that it's not a true stereo reverb. ,love the tin can sounds it makes. tons of settings to twe...

Re: pitch bend an audio track?
I think you should Warp your audio track/sample. change your Warp mode to Re-pitch. get the sample to its closest original BPM, so it sounds natural then, automate the tempo where you want(+/- orig.)to get the desired pitch bend effect if you don't want tempo changes in your track, you're gonna have...

Re: I want to produce music in my car
i don't really know much of all the various niche details about car stereo systems, as I've never built a car system from scratch, though I have always been interested. but i do know that in between the speakers and the head unit(receiver) is some sort of amplifier. sometimes the amplifier is direct...
