Re: path to control_surfaces issue in Live 9.6 / SOLVED..ish

haven't tried with 9.6 but earlier I had to say 'control_surfaces 2' to get to the first slot. I'd love to have those hours of my life back

Re: Getting a nasty crash. Can anyone reproduce this?

Thank you for your questions!

I agree that the external instrument routing is probably causing the crash.

Yes, I want reaktor to affect the entire mix, and I'd like to control it from a midi track.
And I'd like to be able to freeze other tracks. How would you change things?

Thanks
Ben

No, I want to freeze a completely unrelated track, but it crashes

Re: Getting a nasty crash. Can anyone reproduce this?

Some audio fx accept midi, to trigger a filter envelope, for example. I use it with a reaktor device called 'the finger', but there are lots of others too
Make sense?

Re: Getting a nasty crash. Can anyone reproduce this?

The second track (not 'freeze') has an external instrument device sending midi to the reaktor on the master track. If you delete the external instrument, you should be able to freeze.

Getting a nasty crash. Can anyone reproduce this?

Hello, I'd appreciate if someone could try this and let me know if it crashes your system. This requires having REAKTOR. Just load the .als set here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/e6m0v0ssyfzgrnd/Crash.als?dl=0 (It's a tiny download) Try freezing the track called 'FREEZE THIS' On my system, I get an imm...

Re: <----Utterly Ignorant Ableton User

While live it's a wonderful and amazing too, if you're on a Mac, if strongly recommend starting with garage band. It's much more straight forward and simple. You can graduate to live later on

Re: modifying convolution reverb

I didn't do anything clever, but it works for me, controlled by my iPad. The reverb cuts out when I control a knob, just like with the orignal, but then works fine. Not sure about the missing GUI. If the problem persists, I'll maybe take a closer look

Re: Max for Live creators, do you upload your stuff for others?

I uploaded a bunch of stuff in the early days (http://www.maxforlive.com/profile/user/Prebentious) but lately all my M4L work goes into my super-customized live performance rigs that nobody else could understand or use, so it stays with me.
