Behringer FCB1010
Super cheap and built like a tank. Had one for years for switching line 6 pod patches but it would do equally well as a loop switcher.

The Chain Select Editor within your audio effects rack should do what you are looking for. Click the show/hide chain list button to bring it up, click the chain button and then you can midi assign a range of keys to the chain select ruler by first selecting it in midi map mode and then pressing the ...

Re: Mad for metallic
Before you go rushing off buying stuff, have a play with sweeping some of the band pass filters on some operator FM presets, you should find similar effects to what you are looking for, Try experimenting with the amount of resonance too. Page 356 of the manual has more info on the filter section and...

Re: What Percentage of Your Sounds and Effects Come From Ableton
I do almost everything exclusively in Ableton now, either with operator or with home made samples, the only vst i sometimes use is Ozone on the master but I am the first to admit I am clueless as to the internal workings of Ozone and rely on tweaked presets. I already went the route of buying endles...

Danelectro makes one that they sell at Best Buy for like 30 bucks, which does what it does extremely well. +1, i used a boss stomp for years when i played bass, you can get em cheap enough in s...

Re: (Soundcards) Novation NIO 2 4 vs Native Instruments Audio 2
Do you need to monitor tracks? You may need a 2 in/ 4 out soundcard - does the NI Audio 2 have that? If not, the NiO is a great choice - easy to setup, good sound. it has two stereo outs, the audio 4 has 2 stereo in/out if you need more. All the soundcards mentioned have 4 RCA outs so monitoring sh...
