I don't think so, no, not without using the monitor button on the track. I'm fairly certain it has always been this way.

Man -- bummer the upgrade sale is so short. Not in a position to do the upgrade (saving up for my trip to DEMF in May! Woot!). I wonder what the upgrade pricing will be Live 8 Suite >> Live 9 Suite after the sale...

Last thing I promise

I noticed in your example video funken, that you were using Live 9. I tried this with Live 8 Suite. Don't know if it's different, and only have 9 beta on my PC. Which, now that I think of it, s kind of dumb. But it is what it is. Just FYI.

One more thing -- while I may be stating the obvious -- the great thing about the trackball when grabbing the time bar and scrolling horizontally in the MIDI editor that way, is that the trackball is endless while staying (physically) in one place.
