Re: NI Massive users?
Or if you’re only using one main filter on the sound at a time and you only want to swap between two filters: • Set filter one to the configuration you need eg. Low pass • Set filter to the config you want to change to. Eg. High pass • Make sure the filters are in parallel configuration. (slider to ...

Re: Best way to sync two laptops
almost i'm afraid, you do change it in live but that's no consolation.
you've gotta switch to midi-ox, press stop, change bpm in live, switch to midi ox press play as far as i remember.

Re: Best way to sync two laptops
I’ve only ever managed to get a stable sync using MTC generated by MIDI OX and running both copies of Live as slave. We used the midi in outs to connect rather than Ethernet. Fake_account gives a marvellous description of how to set this up here: http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=123021

I would record each layer seperately and then apply the groove templates as needed.

Re: Key command for maximizing edit windows
There’s no keyboard command for it as far as I know. You can however fill the whole of the screen with a clip by dragging the line between the clip view and session/arrangement view.

Re: Want to improve my beat programming...
have a look at claves and see if you can find infomration about breaking bars down in to three or five using pattrens like 3+3+2 or 3+3+3+4.
think that wikipedia covers most of these things in the rhythm section.

Re: External Sync - Wobbly Tempo. . . ?!?!
i'd like to be able to change bpm whilst playing and have my laptops stay well in sync as non MTC midi sync wobbles all over the place. If midi isn't reliable enough a method for syncing two copies of ableton live another method needs to be come up with, maybe there own special sync feature and prot...

Re: Max4Live released soon? New video uploaded by AbletonInc
heh, didn't think about copying and pasting in the patch. would you need both max and m4l to do so though?
me and stax are a bout to be proud owner of a monome each and we'd probbaly like to avoid buying max unless we really have to.

Max for Live will include an editor application that i...

Re: External Sync - Wobbly Tempo. . . ?!?!
cheers raw got that sorted in the end. was clearly having a bit of a dense moment.
what issues can expect with no latency correction. was running a couple of VSTs yesterday and didn't notice any problems.
will some of them run out of sync? is this true of ableton internals as well?
