I don't know if it will be possible for non-Steinberg hosts, but the Steinberg Kernel Interface (SKI) of the VST3 standard would allow something like that

Thanx very much for that!
I really do hope Ableton implements it sometime.

Are there any users of WinXP x64 or Vista x64?

Anyone actually using more than 2GB with the /3GB switch?

Btw, I do remember Live has been made large adress aware sometime in the v6 update cycle.

I don't think Vista needs 1 GB of ram for itself and there is vlite.

So the questions remain:

What are your experiences with Win XP /3GB

and Vista x64?

Using 4 GB Ram: XP /3GB or Vista x64

Hi! I'm going to build a new PC and it will have 4 GB Ram. Using WinXP and default settings one can only utilize 2 GB. I'd like to hear reports from users, who are working with XP and enabled 3GB switch. Does it work with all plugins? Is the system stable? An alternative would be using Vista x64, wh...

I don't have BFD2 already, I'm waiting for Superior2 to decide which one to get. I'd like to mix using my fx, so I'd need to output all channels anyway. This would clutter session and arrange up without being able to fold them like in a drum rack. It's fine that BFD2 has a mixer for quick stuff when...

BFD2 in drum rack?

Hi! Would it be possible to integrate BFD2 into a drum rack, by recreating the BFD2 mixer channels? I tried with Addictive Drums, but it has the master channel which can't be accessed in a drum rack. Unfortunately in AD the 2 fx sends get returned to the master channel so you loose the send and mast...

Now that we have a 2-band version also, a 3-band one would also come in handy. I'm using the Image Line Maximus Processor a lot which has 3 bands and this always seems enough 99% of the time.

Controller with many buttons (like the Faderfox LX-1)

Hi!

I'm searching for a controller like the Faderfox one with many buttons to start/stop clips in session view. Cool would be 16x8 or even more.
Is there somthing like that out there?

How do you guys, those who use automation in composition state heavily, actually work in session? Do you all bounce to Audio? I'm copying automation data from arrangement a thousand times and this slows the workflow that much sometimes, that it would be better to forget using session view... Horrible!
