it makes manual alignments almost unnecessary!
sounding very natural...

Works on any platform/genre/instrument
and the best thing: it's free!

Re: Way to lock push on one instrument for note mode?

you could map another midi control (if available) to select that one track... this would allow you to select that channel with just one button, but it still would be VERY annoying. and you wouldn't be able to change any of the other channel's parameters while playing the pads. this sucks, totally ag...

Re: Follow chord function for MIDI clips

Hi, ...MusicLab RealGuitar VST does this. ... But that only has Guitar... if the fact that it's guitar only keeps you from using it... couldn't you just use that guitar VST on a channel with no audio output, and make it send the midi notes it generates to the piano instrument on another channel?

…Maybe meetings with "experts" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKorP55Aqvg It just seems, they shifted their general focus from ableton beeing a powerful LIVE & Studio tool towards Ableton beeing a noob tool for Bedroom producers, that just started making music and want to have dope beats with the Pu...

Re: really?

@ TomViolenz: on the APC Everything is mappable. even the grid Buttons. When you map a Dial or Button, only that one Button/dial looses it's original function within the APC script and does what you mapped it to. The rest stays like it is. This way you can really assign stuff you won't need in a liv...

Push: Why can't we assign stuff we DON'T need to stuff we actually DO need instead? ...APC-style... I mean don't you ever tweak stuff WHILE going to the next scene? isn't this a quite common situation? so why shouln'd we be able to assign potis when in session mode? There's so much stuff on this thi...

Re: drum rack toggle for 64 pad control

...you can "toggle" by selecting either the drumrack channel itself (for 16pads) or the dummy channel (for 64 pads) it's just a workaround... not that practical, i know :) I think push is really far from being complete yet! Ideas like your's should really be sent to ableton! let them know what featu...

Re: drum rack toggle for 64 pad control

You could also just use a dummy channel.
insert an empty midi clip with any midi instrument.
Mute the instrument and route the track's midi out
to the drumrack you want to play. ...select & Play the dummy channel.

et voilà! 64 drumrack pads!
(I haven't tried it out yet, but seems like it should work?
