Incomplete Features {Unpolymorphic Code?}
The basic feature to "change multiple track volumes by simply selecting all simultaneously" seem to work only with tracks. I've been trying to select all the samples within DrumRack to set the choke to 1. However, if I have 88 samples, I'd currently have to each choke individually. Not Coo...

Re: Is anyone actually enjoying using Live 8????!!!!!!
Seeing the same color themes are started to make me bored. They almost become depressing after a while. When I encounter little bugs, the theme starts to have a psychological affect on my mood. Call me crazy, but Live needs to Liven Up.

Re: score editor!
Would recommend if its an easy bug-free solution that doesn't divert Ableton's current momentum of innovation. Last thing i need is a score editor crashing live because it conflicts with my plugins or hardware.

Re: I wish there was a way of handling multiple clips in arrange
You can apply automation in session view. I do it all the time.Angstrom wrote:When I am creating something, I am forced to use Arrangement because Session cannot automate devices.

Re: External PLugin subfolders
From my expereince, this can easily be done via PC..though some plugins may require reinstall to the desired location. Perhaps on a mac, you can try creating Alias files of the components to a special folder sorted to your liking. Then change the plugin location in Live's preferences to your custom ...

Re: Live 8: Saving Group Tracks
Also note in the photo that I used 'external midi' instead of a simple midi track. This allows each channel to have its own output without having to create a extra audio track. Its a very productive way to go about using plugins without having to create stems for mixing. Imagine running 1 instance o...

Re: Live 8: Saving Group Tracks
If you are talking about saving it as a session (als), then yes I thought of that. I even considered making it the default template. However, I have various plugins and can't predict which one I will use, so I don't think I can load it into the current session on the fly. I would like to spend a day...

Live 8: Saving Group Tracks
Being able to save group tracks allows more flexibility than instrument racks. This is because I can have a plugin prewired with 16 external midi tracks, thus allowing each of the 16 to process both midi and audio. If I tried to make this template with instrument racks, I would only be able to recor...

TRUE PLUGIN RACK...I think we ALL need this.
When i use a VST or AU plugin, I like to put all 16 midi parts to work, enabling me to have atleast 16 MIDI inputs and 16 AUDIO outputs . Currently, making a rack for this function is not 'entirely' possible. What i can do is create a rack which includes a multi-timbral plugin (eg: Motu Mach 5 or Ko...

Sharing library between Mac and PC.
Lately I've been using Live on both Mac and PC. Since inception, I've been using two different sound/library drives (one for each system). Over time each stored different sample imports and custom patches. After doing a 'collect all and save' for each library, I want both drives to have the same inf...

Support for Yamaha/Steinberg Studio Connections via MLAN
Like many others I have a Yamaha Motif XS8 with MLAN built in. Cubase uses this technology to allow the synth to function as a VSTi plugin. This capability would be superb for live as it will open compatibility with future products that yamaha may set the standard for. I'm tired of assigning outs an...
