Re: Push Cover / Stand

No offense, but this smells kinda fishy...

1. Looks crappy
2. Ships from Bulgaria
3. Has Ableton logo on it, almost definitely not licensed
4. You came out of no where to sing high praises about it

Re: Push developer kit: M4L devices for Push!

This is absolutely amazing, thank you.
Ableton should give you money and release this with M4L.

Re: Set up Push to exactly mimic note layout of Launchpad?

Not out of the box. I plan on making a M4L device to make the Push grid mimic the Launchpad User 1 mode for playing an entire drum rack at once.

Re: push and arrangement page

I don't mean to defend Ableton here, and I agree that arrangement functionality would be great, but Ableton's been pretty explicit about this being a song creation/session controller from the start.

I'm sure the community is going to come out with some amazing new functionality for it

(48805739) Push hot swaps instead of adding device

I'm on 9.0.3b2 on Mac. To reproduce: Create a new project with 2 blank MIDI tracks. With the push, Browse and load any instrument rack or drum rack onto the first MIDI track Record a clip on this track with the push Press the right arrow on the Push to move to the next blank MIDI track. The display ...

Well, I stand pleasantly corrected.

And even more excited for all of the custom stuff that's going to come out of the community.

Normal clip automation (or modulation if you don't have Live 9)

Re: Triggering arpeggiator with a melody line

You could do this without M4L by automating the chain selector of a MIDI FX rack so that MIDI is sent to the Arp only on the first beat of a measure, and then setting the Arpeggiator "Hold" to on

Re: Device request: Visual Metronome for APC40

Create a MIDI track, and set the "MIDI To" to your APC.
Then create a new clip in the track, and draw in notes on the beat.
Each button has a note to light it up, and the velocity determines the color.

Re: m4l access to push-functions?

What I am saying is that no, you cannot interact at all with the built-in Push functionality via the LOM.

Re: m4l access to push-functions?

To alter Push's built in functionality like that, you are in fact going to have to hack the Python scripts.

It's true that the Push is accessible through M4L via the control surface API, but you can't interact with or change any of the built-in functionality, you can only create new stuff.

Re: Push Touch Strip settings

Right, in note mode it behaves like any other MIDI pitch bend. What it does is entirely up to whatever it is controlling
