Figured it out! Live 5 only retains one single bank/program selection, and it's the last one you do while recording some. And I was on the right path with my 80-1 bank selection business. Oh I'm sorry, I meant clips. Like one called "Dirty Silicon". But yeah, it uses the demo of Operator. I guess that would be the limitation. I can't drag the Operator demo object out either and get a similar 'switch to demo mode' warning.
