Ableton has the UI thing nailed down cold. Max is very powerful, but fucking UGLY. yeah, crucify me. i know it's cool and i've see people do amazing things with it but it looks gross and is not fun to use, definitely not musical feeling at all. if these two teams of talent can take that power and ma...

How has noone mentioned that the feature set he posted is unreal if it is actually true. it is unreal, hopefully not literally. hard to imagine that folks like AKAI, Roland, etc have been around for many, many years and it took them that long to get where they are now, technology-wise. and Roger Li...

hey i'm not saying the product is shit, no one's seen it yet. but you can't argue that they might try to represent themselves a little better. i'm all for the entrepreneurial spirit but a startup, trying to break into hardware no less. would be wise to show a little more tact or proffeshinalizm. the...

the Micropods sound beautiful.

i actually used the Minipods for studio monitors for a long time too. they look like the Michelin Man's leg but they sound great. very accurate and flat.

as an aside, the Symphony Orchestra "Jam Pack" for GarageBand is pretty friggin' good. :) i bought all the Jam Packs a long time ago because i got them for ridiculously dirt cheap and i actually still use the orchestra one. i don't know where they sourced the material from but a lot of the...

for one thing Tension is a synthesizer, a physical modeling synthesizer. just avoid anything that has a Western Digital hard drive inside and you'll be fine. WD is shit, everyone i've ever had has died. so make sure you avoid Lacie as well b/c that's what they use. you can get an empty firewire or USB 2 SATA case for dirt cheap and just throw whatever drive you want in....
