Re: Question about Bit Depth
The bit depth isn't only about the quality of your audio files, but also the plugins....so if you switch to 24 bit depth half-way through a project and then start doing things like convolution reverbs, dithering, etc, then you will benefit from the higher bit-depth. If yu are just doing this for liv...

Is this possible?? Loop recording MIDI in clip view?
Specifically, what is happening is we are playing live and using clip view to trigger scenes. While a scene is playing, I'd like to be able to: [*]arm a midi track to record starting on the "one" [*]have it record for a pre-determined amount of time [*]start playing back along with the oth...

Export a midi track in arrange view?
Can you export a track as one long midi clip from the arrangement view, or do you need to export each individual clip and piece it together?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Please give us 3, 5, and 6 bar quantization
I am constantly pulling my hair out having to add little one bar section here and there because my compositions don't follow a standard "every four bars something new happens". I have things happen every five bars, etc. And it really really sucks trying to assign midi triggering to the sce...

Re: Running ableton in rewite into Cubas-says I'm not authorised
I should say I'm running Snow Leopard and Ableton 8.0 and Cubase 5.5. Also I have Reason open in rewire in Cubase, and Reason is usually used in rewire feeding Ableton in this set-not sure if that would matter.

Running ableton in rewite into Cubas-says I'm not authorised
I'm trying to open a Live set within Cubase 5 running Ableton as rewire. When I open Ableton, it tells me that some features of Live have been disabled and I can't save. Why is that? I'm trying to figure out how to easily move loops from within live to cubase for mixing and editing.

Re: Assign multiple buttons to the same parameter
Midi OX for PC or Midipipe for Mac.If not, does anyone know an external program I could use that might be able to translate midi signals in a way to make this happen (for example, when anything in the range of E3-C4 comes in, also generate a midi in signal of C5). Thanks!

Re: How to set things up for a live show
I have a full band and we also trigger clips in ableton live with the drummer wearing headphones for the click. We run Ableton, Reason, and VDMX for video all on a Macbook Pro. We have 7 midi triggers that are fed into a DIY Megadrum and a Behringer FCB1010 foot controller. those two MIDI devices ar...

Re: Who else *RARELY* gets crashes in Live 8??
I have just recently started seeing a crash that occurs when switching the routing for one of my returns on our big stage set. Doesn't seem to have anything to do with plugins, etc. Other than that, I have had Live crash on me once completely in a rehearsal, but not yet live. That said, one crash li...

How to adjust tempo on the fly with midi button
I was hoing to figure out how to do this, and I have been searching for a while with no luck. Others may have posted this before, but I found this last night and it works great! Now our band is not a slave to the click live when the song seems too slow or fast! http://www.nikreiman.com/2010/09/midi-...

Re: What do the (controller) envelopes do?
Answer: they do nothing. They are there and don't refer to any actual parameter on the device.

What do the (controller) envelopes do?
When I drop down the menu for editable envelopes, I see some envelopes that are labeled. Then there are many that just say 15- (controller) ,etc
Do those envelopes actually map to something (in this case the line mixer in Reason), and if so how can I figure out what they map to??
