Tried EQ4 and things have improved a lot. I was using the high and low pass filters in EQ3 which seemed to suck the life out of each tune, maybe I want using it well but still. Thanks for the help Adam!

are you positive your EQs are set properly - remember that all the way round is 100% not at 12 oclock..
Positive. Going to take a look at EQ4 to see if this improves the situation.

OK, I'll give it a go. I only use three as you can map the controls to the rotary fader on the BCR2000, many thanks.

I dont DJ with Live, but try using the RePitch warp mode mode, and make sure your tracks are warped accurately ... zoom right into the waveform when adjusting warp markers. I'll try the other warp mode, thanks. All tracks are warped properly and are tested against a sample loop before saving to mak...

Sound Quality In Live

Not sure what if anything I am doing wrong here so I would appreciate your help. I 'DJ' using Live 5 and an Apple Imac G5. Normally I download tunes in MP3 format from Beatport, DJ Download etc.. which I then warp in Live before cutting the tune into smaller pieces (intro, intro 2, main body etc...)...

Rendered Sets Sound Lifeless.....

Recorded a 'DJ' set last night using the BCR2000. Not sure why but anytime I record, render and burn to CD the recording seems really lifeless and lacking in bass. The high end and mid frequencies dont seem that bad but overall the recordings lack any kind of power. I mix using the individual channe...

How Do I Create A Stutter With Beat Repeat?

Sorry if this has been covered before but I have seen a number of posts where users talk about using Beat Repeat to create a stutter effect, can you give me some idea how this is done? If Beat Reapeat isnt the best option can you tell me a decent plug in that should work?

Thanks!

Can You Save 'Follow' Data........

with the individual clip? DJ'ing with Live and have cut up a few tunes in the 'Arrangement' view using 'Split', these have then been dragged into the 'Session' view where I have set up 'Follow' commands that effectively re-edit the tune on the fly. Problem is the 'Follow' data is only saved with the...

yes it's possible, but done in different ways for different things: What type of material are you working on? Song-Parts for a dj-set? Drum-sounds for a sampler? Its song parts for a DJ set. Previously I was using Bias Peak to split the full length tunes into smaller parts but its very time consumi...

The Edit - Split Command

Right! This may be an easy thing to sort but I cant get my head round it, any help would be appreciated. To save time cutting up samples in Bias Peak I have been trying to use the split command when viewing a sample in the arrangement view. I can get this to work fine, drag the sample back into sess...

Evolution UC-33 & Ableton

Anyone here using this MIDI controller? Mixing with Live 5 is great but I miss the feel of an actual mixer, plus when playing out I want to use the mouse as little as possible. Is the Evolution a good bet or would you suggest others?
