How do I record the audio generated by an ableton virtual instrument onto a separate audio track?.
I would then like to save the export the track for further editing and use in other projects.

I'm having the same problem with a Logidy UMI3 foot controller. I can play midi notes on V instruments just fine but aside from the little "midi in" signal lighting up nothing happens while trying to midi map say.. clips or rec. Did you ever figure out your issue? I assume it is something...

I can't seem to rewire sony acid with ableton; as master or slave. I would like to be able to hit play an arrangement in acid and send the midi clock to ableton, then launch clips at will in ableton.
