Re: hosting an internet radio station
you could host it yourself at home but your bandwidth will not be enough once you get more than a few simultaneous listeners. Especially at any decent quality. I would do something like this: http://www.live365.com or http://www.shoutcast.com/ I have gone through the motions with Shoutcast but as f...

is there some way to to have your Clip View move with the music? Like have it scroll along with the clip. Does this make sense?

Set Up Bandpass Filter
I have been using EQ Eight for 95% of my EQ and filter needs. I noticed that EQ Eight has shelves and notches, but no bandpass option.
What are some ways to set up a bandpass filter on a single track in Ableton Live?

how to combine tracks?
Say I have two tracks that I want to combine into one track, like if I'm thickening a sound or a chord. What's the easiest way to combine two tracks into one? maybe I'm not being very clear...... so, I wish you could "Group" tracks and then "Flatten" them, combining the group int...

Re: Semi-Pro Monitors
"larger than life sound" depends on your room imho I agree. they did the best at showing up problems. That's one of the points that I read about in reviews and one of the reason's why I bought them myself. I'm no expert by any means but I'm happy enough. I read an article, about Rusko (du...

Re: Single Monitor Listening?
Why is this? Personal preference or is there some kind of acoustic theory you're jive to?c33 wrote:I would keep using the two monitors you have until you have enough money for both speakers.
I'm pretty sick of my speakers, they sound cheap, and they don't excite me.

Re: MIDI Keyboard or Headphones?
Yeah the MPK49 is a dece little controller, but it almost has TOO MANY functions. I rarely program the knobs and sliders on mine. Almost any old keyboard will have a MIDI or USB hookup. I'm talking about starter keyboards, the ones with demo songs and stuff, that you find in pawn shops and thrift st...

Single Monitor Listening?
I have a home project studio that uses two M-Audio studio monitors for listening, and a home audio subwoofer for checking low frequencies. I want to upgrade my speakers to something like Adam A7x, KRK Rokit 8, Mackie HR824, pretty much one of the speakers sets on this link here: http://www.junodownl...

Re: Semi-Pro Monitors
I'm thinking I might go for the KRK 8s for big sound and impressing clients, then maybe a smaller set of Adams or Genelecs (5s or 3s) for fine-tuning and accuracy.

Re: Semi-Pro Monitors
I've been using KRK for years... Seem good to me, but again, that is what I have used for years and am use to it. This tends to get shot down a lot when raised (probably because people don't think it's important) but to get the best out of monitors, you really do need room treatment to tame the roo...

Re: Semi-Pro Monitors
Thanks all. I always like to consult this board with my gear questions. I've been reading around a lot. Gearslutz has some pretty good threads on the models I'm interested in. I wish it was easier to audition gear side by side in your own space. Everyone hears differently, and everyone wants to hear...

Semi-Pro Monitors
Hey all, I am looking for a little guidance regarding studio monitors. I'd like to first tell you a little bit about my setup and what I'm trying to do with it, then I'll name some speakers I've researched that seem to fit with my line of thinking. I have a home project studio that I am upgrading. L...

Re: Louder Headphone Mix?
That all makes sense except the last bit about selecting the headphone output on the return track's "out". Is this the "Audio To" menu of the return track? The choices in here are Ext. Out, Master, Track 1, Track 2, and Sends Only. I can select my audio interface as the return tr...
