everything here was composed/recorded with live: http://www.hotbitcharsenal.com plus, all of the music there (20+ tracks) was created in the last 3 months. seriously bitchin' female vox, 'real' instruments, 'real' songs (ie 'pop' songs as opposed to electronica (which i do love dearly)). live is som...

hmmmm. i also read up extensively on acpi vs. non. once i reconfigured without acpi i found the system to be more reliable, the latency was down to 3ms.

longjohns - do you have a link to have musicxp article?

i think you're gonna have to do a reinstall.

while you're at it, make sure to do the f6 thing when starting the install and disable acpi - i've found that that one change makes live much more stable.

The best I've been able to come up with is to deactivate the loop track while recording, but that would require extra footswitch taps, and is kind of awkward. Any suggestions? set the monitor on your loop tracks to "off". the bass will come through on the input track, you won't get any au...

i think that a case can still be made for mono tracks - especially when live looping. putting the utility in will make the track mono, but the source is still going to be a stereo wave, if you have 10 (?) of them going at once that's twice as much disk i/o as is needed, especially if your original s...

i use the behringer and find it to be reliable and effective.

if you're on a pc get the fcb1010 editor - it will save you a lot of time.

also look at the fcb1010 yahoo group.

my issue with multiple versions is the cpu time required to generate them. i'm sure that there are better solutions out there, but at the moment i'm editting the video on a slowish pentium based system with premiere pro. over the last 4-5 days i have put in 2 hours of my time, and 10 of machine time...

i'm also operating under the assumption that people are so used to downloading multi-hundred megabyte porn files that 32mb/120mb seems like a pittance.

i have to admit that you guys are making me question myself. however, i'm pressing on for the moment - my latest concept is to add a tiny bit of 'dj' talk at the end of an older track on the site and paste on a whole nother song. some of these older tracks have been externally linked-to, and get hun...
