quick question for Maschine owners..
Can the software run on its own without the hardware? The sequencer is pretty cool and I would definately use it over Live's sequencing when it comes to drums. Ideally I'd like to not have to set the controller up on my desk everytime I use it. Is this possible or is the hardware like a giant dongle?

Re: Does anyone here have a Vestax VCM-600?
have used the vestax in over 30 gigs over the last few months. been a total chamption for the most part. ive had 2 faders die and i know someone else who had this issue as well. but it didnt really affect me and im sure it would have been replaced under warranty. i dont use it in automap mode, ive h...

Re: why do dancetracks need to be mono-compatible?
not saying you shouldn't make it stereo.. just be sure the mix works in mono as well.. and you're set ! +1 a nice side effect of making something not mono but mono compatible is that it automatically will sound tighter and will have more impact, 'pure' stereo mixes are usually fluffy. and will defo...

Re: why do dancetracks need to be mono-compatible?
just throwing my 2 cents...
ive recently been making stuff that would most likely sound horrid on a mono system.
haven't been to a venue which the sound is obviously "mono" in the last 4 years...
make it stereo, make it fkn big!!

Is quite likely that either routing, monitoring, or a plugin isn't set right in the transfer.

Re: Apple's iPad - Lemur killer?
Just bought a Lemur instead of going with an iPad (we had a long hard think about it too). Stability, sturdy hardware and well thought out tools around the Lemur make it a no brainer for mission critical applications. The scripting capabilities of Jazzeditor and now the MU tool alone are worth the ...

Re: 8.1.3???
Hello again everyone, It has been quite sometime since I have been involved with the forums and bug testing Live mainly due to a pretty disappointing experience getting issues looked into during the alpha phase of Live 8. I have had a bug which has been the main thing stopping me from using Live 8 s...

Re: Help on Korg Zero 4/Zero 8
i found the zero 8 to be a bit of a pain in the bum. after trying both one of those and a xone 4d for a week or so each, i ended up getting a vestax vcm600 which is now complimented by a Fireface400. This has been the most awesome Live setup I've used and would recommend it to anyone. The vestax lay...

Re: Beyonce
Live needs to be able to punch in and out of loops on the fly like Traktor does and I find it pretty damn retarded that it can't yet do that by now. It may be the best thing out there but there are some obvious things that it should be able to do to make it a live "jam" type tool. Looper?...

Re: Advice on setting up my monitors (pic's inside)
hey man
i would shuffle things about in ur room.
there's a brown cabinet looking thing next to your dj decks.
id recommend putting your workstation + monitors there.
that will give you a lot more space on either side before the left/right reflections kick in.
