Re: Recording Drums
Of course it's possible. You just need a soundcard with enough inputs (i'd say 8 minimum for drums), the set up within live is easy. If your soundcard has enough channels but not enough inputs, try one of these. http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/ADA8000.aspx This gives you enough inputs and pre-a...

Re: How do they make these deep house guitars?
Sounds like a simple bit of clean guitar to me with a little delay and some filtering. Shouldn't be to hard to re-create

Re: Start at a low sample rate then export to a higher one?
There is no point converting audio to a higher samplerate if it was recorded at a lower one, unless your aim is to match samples to a project you are recording at a higher sample rate. It would simply insert another 'plot' (if you think of it like a graph) between between the other sample points. Yo...

Re: Possible to run read-only set in free/unauthorized Live?
Yes you can. The only thing you cant do with a trial version is save the set. Im pretty sure ableton even recommend this little loophole as a way of potentially rescuing a gig should your computer die. Just carry the install file and a back up of your set and providing you can borrow a laptop, you'r...

Re: Ableton Live 10
Tap tempo that can follow the taps accurately and smoothly, snapping the metronome to the 'taps' Some kind of library merge feature to make organizing the user library on two computers easier A naitive 'snapshot' feature for the entire set (i think one exists in max) this is handy for live work and ...

Re: Can't beat my latency!
You need to select asio, then you control latency within the hardware setup. You should be able to select one option in milliseconds. Try 4-5ms for best results, lower if you're lucky.

Re: Can't beat my latency!
Theres nothing wrong with the cpu. I can get 7.5 ms on a centrino 2!! Are you definately using the correct asio drivers? Check that the focusrite asio is selected in 'Driver type'....not MME/Direct x You shouldn't even have the option to adjust in/out buffer size in live, that should be adjusted in ...

Re: Why does Battery sound better than simpler or sam for kicks?
Just a thought but.....
Which sounds closest to the raw .wav file? Did you test that?
Battery is heavily processed by all accounts. I would imagine that with the right processing, you could easily get simpler to sound close to battery. This will not be true the other way around.

Re: Digital mixer with Ableton, good or bad idea
Something like that Tascam, but then with a channel strip. So that tascam + a console 1 could work. But the Tascam is discontinued and probably, if you count up the price for each controller with an audio interface, you'll be more expensive than a Behringer X32 Compact or Producer. The tascam sort ...
