Re: Push 2
Panten: The tap tempo thing is almost like "too obvious to notice"… 8O 64 beautiful pads, perfect for well, tapping in a tempo. Could it be possible to provide a firmware update which allows the tap tempo button on Push 2 to be used a bit like the Shift key? What I mean is: rather than tap...

Re: Push 2
Push 2 is superb, AFAIC. Service from Ableton was exceptional, as I have always found it to be. I ordered on Monday evening, it was scheduled for delivery in Scotland on Thursday. I asked for delivery on Friday as I would be off work, it all worked like a dream. Delivered early so I could play all d...

Re: Ableton 9: No Comping Features
Glad I could help...I'm a 6.5 user as well (trying to get more comfortable with Live 8 ) The only thing that stinks is that you can't record audio to Reason while rewired (at least not that I'm aware of)....but no big deal. I love the way Live works with audio...if I have a detailed part that might...

Re: My Rockit 5s suck….
I use Rokit 5s in a small room which is anything but perfect for music production. There are spots within the nearfield where bass frequencies appear boosted or cut, but this could be down to the room or my subjective tastes (I prefer lots more bass than some people). My girlfriend has the Harman Ka...

Re: Julian Cope’s ‘Krautrocksampler’ as PDF!
Steko - thanks! I've just recently been trying to buy a copy of the book on Amazon, and it now costs a fortune. Can't wait to start reading - Cope's other books (Head-On/Re-Possessed and Modern Antiquarian/Megalithic European) are absolutely tremendous. JapRockSampler too... Also many thanks for the...

Re: in what genre is most of the money?
Making money in music is very important for a lot of people. And I believe I hold the key: http://images.wikia.com/bttf/images/4/4f/Docs_flux_paper.jpg What I have here,is a specification for, "THE FLUX CAPACITOR." Its what makes time travel possible. Currently I am taking donations to bu...

Re: Getting past that wall.
In my experience, I would definitely agree that collaborating with someone else really motivates you. I've been making stuff for years on my own, with varying success, but until last year when I started working with a friend I never had the energy or the urge to really finish a lot of stuff. In the ...

If you can't make your fortune with 8-bit death core, you'll never amount to anything.

Re: Live... upside down?
I'm not being different for the sake of it in this discussion... but the reversed screen looks wrong to me. I've used Live since v2, and software like Cubase and Studio One just seem all wrong to me (and for lots of other reasons). Having said that, I think it would be great if there was the flexibi...

Hi funken
I like the Ableton Spectrum too - but where did you get the other skins you mention? They seem to be separate from the overall Live skins available in Preferences?

Re: Recording automation into Clips in Session View
I think "false advertising" is a strong phrase to use... funken never claimed to provide a feature that Ableton can't do, he offered a workaround. If you don't want to do it, fine, don't bitch. Juansolo, I wondered if the stepping you demonstrate was something to do with quantisation, but ...

Re: The hand flip when pushing buttons in electronic music...
The real reason for the hand-flip... your music is so damned hot that the controller feels like it's on fire! Jesus! Every time I trigger that sample my fingers get burned! But I just can't stop the music! OW! OW! OW! OW!
