Is you are building your own filter have a look at the "scale" object. Its 5th argument can be used to scale values exponentially.

Just an update. I stated previously that i was getting only very small drifts. I've since found that the higher the tempo im working at the larger the drift will be (-/+ 5 bpm) while my mac is synced to the loopstation.
