Re: Ableton products 33% off
No your sums are wrong:madman wrote:3 days & 33% off. Hmm... Lemme check the math on that.
3+3+3=9?
It's June (i.e. 6th Month) + the day (i.e. 3rd Day) = 9!
So, I'm going for June 3 Live 9 launch!!!
I also read on Wikileaks that 3Phase has been beta testing it *and* is totally happy with it!

Could transpose all your music up/down by a semi-tone to avoid the C#.

Re: BMP lower than 20
I think Dan is looking to build his live set at say 800bpm into just a sixteen bar sequence and then play it back at 1bpm.
That way, you could playback roughly an hours worth of liveset from the sixteen bars! (If my maths are right!!)

Re: Future Music Vs Computer Music Magazine
These mags for me are mainly just glossy/clever marketing. The Computer Music 'Specials' can be quite good, e.g. the 'The insider's guide to Ableton Live' was very good - but other ones like the 'Producer's/Mixer(? Can't remember exact title) Guide' was mainly full of 'Adverts' disguised as 'Article...

Using your Pet as a critique to your music.
I've noticed that my dog provides great feedback on my tracks (and the tracks of others artists!). [Especially considering her greater range of hearing!] e.g. she will bark (or growl) at certain types of mix / sounds / certain weirdnesses etc I've come to the conclusion that she prefers deep house (...

Thank you - loving this. "some might say that 284 microphones for a bobsleigh race is a bit excessive" :D Yeah why don't they just either i) fix a single audio field recorder onto the bobsleigh itself (ok, the participants might complain about the mic adding additional drag to the air dyn...

Re: MacBook i7 + BootCamp Windows 7 + Ableton Suite 8.2.2
I tried out running Live 7 within Windows 7 in BootCamp on an i7 and the results were awful. In the end I removed Windows 7 / BootCamp because although it provides a nice workaround if you need to use Windows 7 I think ultimately it's a botch trying to run Windows 7 on a Mac - also it started to fee...

Re: Using Ableton onstage with visuals.... help!
Related to this... just interested if VJs are getting into music too in order to show of their visuals or is it just musicians who are creating visuals to go with their music? I used to do gigs where there was a separate VJ but always wished there was some sync between the DJ doing the audio set and...

Re: Do you read 3phase posts? (Please move to Lounge)
Democracy is a form of government in which all citizens have an equal say in the decisions that affect their lives. Actually, Democracy seems to have developed into a kind of authorised dictatorship - whereby 50.1% (in theory - but worse than that if a minority Government is in place [i.e. < 50% ],...
