Re: best plugins to have on the master output?
The GLUE!! Focus on your composition flow and not the mixing... It's a godsend for me because my brain can be fully creative and not worry about the mix while I'm writing.

2 rack and looper questions please help....
for my live show I use two loopers, one for trumpet and the other for piano. I setup a rack to do this, 1 chain having the looper-utility and the other being empty except for the utility. The expression pedal input changes the utility voume inversely proportional for both chains so I can mix between...

Re: Worth the upgrade to RME Fireface?
yes yes, My FF800 is the hub of my studio. Been rock solid for years. I had a bit of an issue when upgrading to Snow Leopard with dropouts and what not. Have they fixed that problem? I'm still on Leopard and no issues whatsoever. Sounds amazing!

Re: rock solid USB hub?
bump. I am having problems with my unpowered 4 port hubs and need a better solution. The APC runs great plugged direct, but not through the hub so much. Suggestions? I have so many USB devices and would love to use them all at once!

Re: LiveControl: Automap for TouchOSC (ipod/ipad)
Amazing work and many thanks! My only humble request is to have octave up and down button via modifier in the step sequencer. It would make it much easier to navigate. Again greatly appreciated.

Re: APC40 KILLER
+3 The APC is the greatest all in one control solution I own now. I LOVE IT! Tactile Knobs, Easy to assign to VSTs through custom racks, and the best knobs I've felt (other than moog knobs of course :)). WIN Nothing is killing anything. The more control options the better. Different applications.

Did they ever get the Fireface 800 issues settled with Snow Leopard? I tried to make the switch before and it was glitch city. The interface would hang up and freeze. I want to switch

Re: Mic pre's
FMR RNP is GOLD!! I love mine so much for everything, Trumpet thru a 57 is amazing sounding, as a DI for Bass and Guitar, I use their RNC compressor with it (160 bucks or so) and Funk Logic sells a rackmount kit for the two. Secret weapon of choice. A big sound for a small package. There might be a ...

Re: Is the RME fireface 400 reliable?
had a similar problem when updating to Snow Leopard. The interface just would freeze up and need a restart. I went back to Leopard and use the latest driver for regular Leopard. Back to smooth sailing... Funny, I've had the FF 800 for years and have never had any problems before that.
