Ableton Forum

Does anyone else get this behavior? I have my UC33e connected to my MacBook Pro via USB and my MOTU Ultralite via firewire. [edit] Using Live 7.0.7. [/edit] I have created clip (.alc) files for my mp3's which I then use to load into Live. They are set to Complex but this also happens with Beat mode....

I would agree with this. I'm not sure if this needs to be a modification in the VST spec as well as Ableton but I know that VST can send MIDI back to the host but Ableton doesn't accept the MIDI back. It expects Audio as output even when you want MIDI as output.

I agree. I'd like to build a MIDI Interface for my synth that lacks an interface (currently) but because I can't route the MIDI back to the host to send to the instrument, the VST must send the MIDI out which is the less desirable or clean implementation.
