You can yes, but the whole idea of both Maschine and Push is to do everything from the controllers and be mouse free. Also if I do some edits or add a scene in Maschine it would be a lot easier and quicker to alter the program change messages from the controller rather than in screen using the mouse.

I like to use Maschine with Live and i like to use program change messages to change Maschines scenes, via clips in Live. Currently, i have to make the program changes using a mouse in the on screen clip window. As Push already has a "clip view" it would be nice to be able to make the prog...

In Logic, there's a handy little function that renames all the clips within a track (channel) to the same name as the track. Is there any way to do this in Live (aside from doing each clip one by one that is)?

I've edited it slightly so the ctlin goes directly to the "sel" object. I'm guessing the "t" object is a toggle? Not sure how the rest of the patch works or how the "prepend" object works? But i'm glad that it does.

I would say that Maschine is more versatile than the TR8. But then again, what do you want that you can't do with Live?

Just done a clean install of Yosemite on my laptop. I'm going to start reinstalling my applications including Live. Will I have to contact Ableton and get them to reset my license? Or will my laptop still be recognised as authorised?
