Sorry, but I think that's a bit lazy... Learn to use your tools. You should be able to beatmatch to a washing machine, let alone something as stable as Ableton. Vinyl skips, if you use vinyl you should be able to control it. Otherwise... get the bpms dialed in, listen to Ableton on a cue channel (he...

Bounce the two to one audio clip. There comes a time when you have to let go of the old format and move on, if the two clips really belong together, put them together, disable the midi clips and just use the midi clips to make new variations. This saves CPU loading and probably gets you closer to fi...

A list of the assignable buttons in Live

I'd like to get a list of the assignable buttons in Live. RTFM produced nothing. This would be really handy to keep track of the assignments on my BCR2000. A list with space to write next to it would be very handy (channel, CC#, control type, start and end values, ie the same paramters listed next t...

interesting idea... simpler usually IS better. I like the idea of two songs side by side like that, very cool. I've been moving more towards multiple presets on my BCR, maybe you might like this: Tracks 1 - 4 on preset 1 Tracks 5 - 8 on preset 2 then on each preset you have 4 columns of encoders lef...

Some good kung fu in here, thanks for the lessons. I never looked at it that drums are secondary to the bass, but it makes sense, also not necessarily having a hit on the one is a good tip. I LOVE to play reggae guitar and can program piano well enough, but I haven't gotten the backbeat down yet. I'...

Programming reggae drum beats?

Can someone help me out with the cliche' reggae drum beat? Reggae drums are instantly recognizable but after counting out patterns while listening to reggae I still haven't figured it out. This has bugged me for years. I'm mainly looking for a generic main groove, I can add timabale hits and stuff l...

Signed big time.

I've been looking online for those, I regret not getting one when they were available.

The less descript design appeals to me more, it's more of an inside joke rather than brand name pimping... not that I wouldn't whore myself out for Ableton.

This is how my BCR is setup: Top encoders have 4 functions, as dictated by the encoder group buttons - Send A - Send B - Send C - Send D Push button feature of the encoders are: - start clip - Solo clip (in preferences set SOLO to not be exclusive) - with two left over The buttons below those are Tr...

I reinstalled Java and updated my sound card drivers, all's well. I don't really need the editing software after all, the BCR is easy to program directly.

With a BCR I can remix with the PC monitor turned off... :!: BRILLIANT :!:
