Re: APC20 vs Launchpad
Bugger...have just watched some APC40 videos and I'm sold. It's more than I was planning on spending, but I suppose I might as well put the extra to and get the best. Thanks for all the advice, can't wait to get my hands on this and get to work

Re: APC20 vs Launchpad
Damn, you guys in the states have it good. Sadly, £349 is the cheapest I can find the APC40 over here in the UK, with the Launchpad coming in at only £149. If I could get it for $225 (about £155) then I certainly would, but with shipping and import taxes it would make it unaffordable. Realistically ...

Re: APC20 vs Launchpad
Nice one, thanks to everyone for the advice...I'll at least get the Launchpad for now, and then look into a second controller properly.flippo wrote:I've owned an X-session pro, just a word of warning the build quality is absolute shite, in particularly the faders are rubbish.
You can do better imo.

Re: APC20 vs Launchpad
Thanks guys...I was thinking a Launchpad with something would be a good solution. Quite liking the look of the M-Audio X Session Pro to give me a few faders/knobs. So no advantage to the APC20 then? Looks like my minds made up now

APC20 vs Launchpad
I have been looking into the controllers, to be used for DJing with Live, and was wondering what other peoples experience is with both controllers. The Launchpad looks fantastic, but will I miss having the faders and knobs to hand? Before anybody suggests the APC40, it's out of my budget, hence cons...

Re: What pro producers are using.....
CamelPhat is my choice of filter...it's exceptional and nothing compares to it. I tend to use Live's built in delays now...as for synths, Sylenth1 is my go to synth. After that I use a combination of Operator, Z3ta+, FabFilter Twin, G Force Minimonsta, ZebraCM and a few others.

Re: Timothy Jay // I Want Everything
Hi Tim. Good seperation and clear sounding. I would be on the dance floor for sure. I like the way the vocal came in on the off beat @3:45. What's missing is some sort of lead hook IMO and lots of room for different elements. Typical house 4x4 is usually a foot stomper. As always, thanks for sharin...

Re: Sample
Are you talking about layering 4 different kick drums? If so, that can be done with the drum racks.

Timothy Jay // I Want Everything
New track, following on from The Revival. "I Want Everything" is a funky tech-house track that came about from me messing about with Corpus for the first time and I immediately came up with a short loop I liked and then took it from there. Would love to hear your thoughts. http://bit.ly/9k...

Thanks for the feedback. Am not sure which 80s you grew up in though...late 90s/early 00s perhaps. Either way, it's all good, much appreciated guys

Booty Luv - Some Kinda Rush (Remix)
It's been a while since I've been on here, but have been mad busy lately. Will post links to a few more tracks over the next few weeks, including my new one that's due out on Reversoul Music in the next week or so. But anyway, here's something I finished today. Bit commercial, I know, and will never...
