Re: Passerines - Mix feedback please!
Sounds fantastic - I don't know why you're struggling with it :) OK 2 suggestions: In the part around 0:30 - 2:00 - I would maybe try to give the brightest pad a few extra DB to bring it forward. Maybe make it a bit more ambient at the same time. 4:27-> I miss the "old" kick in the track :)

Re: Crackling sound when playing midi live
I get crackling audio in from external HW synth in when I enable sync over midi. Don't understand the logic behind this, but I've seen it with both a Mininova and a Blofeld.

Re: Great article I just read Are you guilty as well?
Good read. I think it's just natural that once you start to get good at something you want to try and perfect every part but I guess you have to then ask what "perfect" is. I was watching a documentary from youtube in the airport the other day about Prince and how he approached making mus...

Re: Why master with exported tracks in ableton
Thanks for the clarifications! I was wondering if I could improve audio quality by doing the export tracks thing. I also have issues with CPU overload sometimes, but I'm not sure if thats an issue in the final audio file export. I'm thinking that since Ableton doesn't have to process the audio in re...

Why master with exported tracks in ableton
Hi all, It seems from many posts, that a lot of you export the individual tracks in ableton for mastering purposes. What's the reasoning behind that? In understand the need if you want to master in a different DAW, or if someone else is going to do the mastering for you. But in my case, I do the mas...

I absolutely love this! Well done! If you ever consider remastering this a bit, may I suggest a bit more punch on the drums?

Re: Wow! on SoundCloud
Thanks for the feedback and thanks for listening! Rolled off means that I should increase the output level on 2khz+? How on earth can you hear that!?ZombieFightsShark wrote:Cool track. Sounds like the 2k and up range might be rolled off too soon but otherwise sounds good to me.

Re: Feedback on house track
I'm even more noob than you, but I'll chip in anyway. To me it sounds like you have all the right parts in place, and you've made a track that's enjoyable and easy to follow. That's great! It's a bit short, and I think there could be a down-tempo middle part before the final built up. And then more ...
