Re: Autosampler Template for Ableton Like Redmatica Autosampler?

Such a shame Apple bought Redmatica.

Re: Ableton Push: Questions & Answers

The APC40 came out... and functionality at the time of release was pretty much it. A lot of people asked for enhancements for years, but as far as I'm aware... none were made. Individual users spent a lot of time developing their own updates via python. Is that the plan for Push as well, or will off...

Live 9 Beta Testers - What new features are you seeing?

After reading some random posts... it looks like there are definitely new features in Live 9 that haven't been mentioned by Ableton yet. Can any beta testers confirm some of the new updates that haven't been officially mentioned, even if they are small changes?

Re: Seems like the last 3 years were mainly the 64 bit re-write

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. The 64 bit implementation was a HUGE effort. From a developmental perspective... it's the biggest change. I think they would have updated more devices and processes if the 64 bit upgrade wasn't such a massive undertaking. That's why I'm hoping we'll see more updates rol...

Re: Seems like the last 3 years were mainly the 64 bit re-write

Ha, you don't think being able to use more than 3+ gigs of memory is important in a modern DAW? To me the 64-bit upgrade is amazing and took A LOT of work. For what I do, I need it. I understand some people might not. Also, I'm blown away by Push. The rest is cool, but come on... what's missing?? Ch...

Re: Ways to create random, but useful rhythmic variations?

What about vary subtle variation of midi note position (randomization) to give your drums and midi notes a more natural feel? I know you can do this with custom grooves but what about when you don't use custom grooves? I kow the midi random device doesn't have an option to randomize position. Maybe ...

Seems like the last 3 years were mainly the 64 bit re-write

Seems like the last 3 years were mainly the 64 bit re-write... and Push. I'm surprised Ableton didn't wait and launch the 64-bit versions as part of Live 9. People would have felt like they were getting more with the new release. For Live 9 we get a few new fx, audio to midi, a few midi note tricks,...

Re: Any Sampler changes that we've heard of?

THey should implement a sampler like the NNXT in REASON.... WHere you can record your sample and map it then send each sample to it's own effect thru the cv outs. The nnxt was one of my favs in Reason... very very powerful and blows sampler away... I mean no where in Live can you record a sample an...

Is it possible to export custom grooves?

I want to make a bunch of custom grooves out of some old sequencers I have. Is it possible to then later export them so that if I install live on a new computer I'll still have access to them, or if I want to give the grooves to a friend who uses ableton?

Re: Ableton Push QA

With Push, will it be possible to select a drum rack cell by pressing a pad on push, and then turn a knob to scroll through different drum samples within a folder to choose which drum sample is assigned to that drum cell? Basically, this would do away with spending time making "128s" and w...

Re: Ableton Push QA

How will users program their own Push setup in user mode... will it be deep programming like python etc... or will the average fool like me be able to do it using some sort of configuration/setup page? I'd LOVE to be able to use all 64 pads to play 64 drum cells from a drum rack.

PUSH - any info out yet on user mode?

I always thought it was stupid that most pad based drum machines or midi controllers only had 16 pads. It's like the drum machines of the 80's set that trend, and we've been stuck there ever since. I would love to be able to use all 64 pads on Push to play 64 drum rack cells in real time and have al...

Re: LIVE 9 : PDC IMPROVED OR NOT ?

I switched to Live from Cubase, and I swear my tracks in Live have better timing/feel compared to stuff I did in Cubase. I wasn't doing any automation though.
