Re: Preferences - Audio Help
Are you doing the lesson though or reading the manual? There was a lesson that I did that went through setting all of that stuff up correctly.

Re: iPad Now the Most Versatile Instrument. Ever.
I realize the iPad isn't cheap for some people, but some of the people weighing this option are being extremely narrow minded in what they think they can do with it. "I'm just going to get one to run TouchAble." as if that's the only useful thing you can do with it. There's countless othe...

Re: Anybody using sample tank 2.5 free (the unbanned version)
I tried the Sampletank demo before that released but I couldn't get it to work, so didn't bother with the free version. Anyone else have problems with it not working?

Re: iPad Now the Most Versatile Instrument. Ever.
I am more interested in the iPad now that I see that the Touchable app works with PC's which is what I have, but still kind of expensive for me and I'm thinking that a tablet PC might be better since I could run Ableton and whatever other programs on it as well. Or even one of those all-in-one PC's ...

Re: Preferences - Audio Help
If you go to the help view in Ableton and open up the lessons, there should be one that walks you through setting up all of that stuff.

You might be able to use Novation's Automap software but I'm not sure. But it is free to download on their site if you want to give it a try.

Re: Does anyone here use the Stanton DaScratch with Live?
KP3 seems like it would be good but is kind of expensive for me. About Dascratch and the midi, do you mean if I map say, a frequency knob of an instrument to a fader thing on it, it also sends a music note at the same time? edit: found some info about that on the Stanton preset forums: "First, ...

Re: Automation - (Recording of in session view)
I've been getting around it by doing the automation in arrangement, either in real-time with the mouse or clicking it in, then taking a sample of it and pasting that into an audio track. It can become a problem ending up with two tracks with the same instrument in session view though, but nothing to...

Re: The best DJ software, in your opinion?
Yeah, Serato with The Bridge seems the way to go. I guess I should have asked the best software besides that, for those of us that can't afford it.

The best DJ software, in your opinion?
The thing I want to get includes Traktor LE so I was looking forward to messing around with that, but now I found out that Deckadance works as a VST plugin. Can Traktor do the same, like the other NI software such as the Kore and Reaktor players? I'm sure that either one will suit my needs just fine...

Re: Does LiveIntro have alot more instruments/presets than Lite?
What about the full version of Live? If Intro has 500 then I am guessing that the full version must have even more? Another question about Intro, is does it include any effects that aren't available in Lite such as Looper, Audio Effect Racks, Macro's, grouping, etc? I am thinking of just going for t...

Re: Features you would like to see in Ableton 9?
The ability to map midi notes off of the piano roll. And to use the mouse wheel to adjust knobs and/or use as a pitch or mod wheel. To be able to map more than one knob to it would be even better. A simple thing, but would be great for people using the computer keyboard or people that just don't hav...
