Wow, I didn't think it was possible to assign key velocity to controls in Live (!!!) Please share! I can only figure out how to assign Midi CCs (?)

how bad were you getting the drag/drop lag before? half a second? 2 secs? I was getting it quite badly - in loaded sets sometimes 5 secs -this seems to be sorted I don't usually use a lot of tracks in my tunes so didn't notice drag n drop issues too much in Live 5.... But I just did a quick test, l...

agreed! They've made Live a whole lot more powerful and somehow it seems even less cluttered and easier to use now with the new GUI changes, Macros and controller options. :D

I just discovered an awesome one! You can now select multiple tracks (by holding down SHIFT) and then resize them. Or hold down ALT while resizing and it will resize all track at once... very nice

I'm using a single processor and zooming in arrange view is noticeably faster ! Dragging and copy-paste seems about the same (actually maybe a bit faster in L6, especially drag n drop)

cheers

Sampler is so nice because it fits beautifully within the Live workflow. That alone makes it better than Kontakt for me. Sampler is so compact and easy as continues the Ableton tradition :D

Well, looks like I'll have to keep wrapping all my VSTs in Energy XT. It's a shame how I barely ever use any of the Ableton instruments / effects when I'm jamming in session view.... This glaring omission will basically make the fancy new instrument racks and "sampler" useless with my work...

Here is the quote from Robert Henke back in November from this thread. http://www.ableton.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=29141 Hi everyone, what you experience is not one single issue but a combination of a few things. One part of the problem is in since the beginning of Live and is going to be improved ...

Thanks Frank, I understand it's possible that Jorgen could fix something in eXT to get this working as well, and it might not all be an Ableton issue, that's why I have posted this on both forums. Maybe to try to get some kind of communication rolling so we can figure out where the issue REALLY is. ...

Thanks for the quick reply Frank, I have started a thread about the drop-down menu issue on kvr-vst.com's energy XT forum as well and Jorgen has said he is looking into it. Hopefully he will contact you as well to look into the issue. The reason it may be an issue with Live is because it doesn't hap...

Yup, that's confirmed... A workaround for that is to open an empty live set before opening a new set with eXT inside. But I've found a more serious issue with eXT and LIVE: see this thread, I'd appreciate if you could take a look as well Mr. Hoffman :): http://www.ableton.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3...

It seems to be related to dropdown menus in sub-windows of eXT... If you click on any dropdown in a sub-window of eXT it happens consistently after you close and re-open the eXT window... The only workaround I have found is to never close the energy XT window and then no issues arise, which is annoy...

Bug: Energy XT as VST in Live 5.0.3

It seems there is a GUI bug when using Energy XT within Ableton Live. This basically makes Energy XT useless as a VST for me now.... To reproduce this: 1. Load EnergyXT as a VSTi in Live. 2. Load a VST synth (or midi effect) into Energy XT. 3. Open the VST up and pick a different preset from the dro...
