Re: Orange dot under effect parameters slider ??

it refrences zero as what ever the parameter is set to. so if your knob is set to 20 then 0 is starts at 20 onwards in automation.

Re: How do I create a pitch bend on an audio track using a midi

firstly i'd assign it to the pitch bend wheel if u have one, so it goes back to the middle(default=0) when u let go (spring loaded). you'll have to automate it in the arrange page then drag it back to the session view. done! P.s tone mode will probably get the best results, depends on the source mat...

Re: I'm confused about drums and creating simple beats

i just move oneshots around in the grid on arrangement view. then colsolidate them into loops. the beauty of software is that there always more than 1 way to skin a cat.

Re: Adjusting the autofilter with velocity

is there anyway to assign a keyrange to open the filter? like c1-c2 opens it up from 0-127 in stages. this would more closely emulate the mpc's 16 levels command.

sort of like how you can play the resonator pitch by using an assigned midi key range. I can't test it right now.

Re: whats the best sample editor to get?

just make sure you consolidate(commit) that new region into its own audio file. all this can be done inside abez. thats the beauti of ableton, its non destructive unless you commit your edits.

Re: External Sync - Wobbly Tempo. . . ?!?!

ive never been happy with sync in ableton. On my xp PC cubase used to sync great with my mpc1000. and ableton 7 sort of did, but it wasnt ultra tight. on my macbookpr, logic sync up tight with everything i send at it. on the other hand ableton is still laggy as fuck. i played around setting it as a ...

Re: 'Slice and dice' an audio sample

u can chop (ctrl-e) and drag the chops onto an impulse from the arrange view. its just the same but takes a bit more effort.
