Re: Using Arturia Beat Step Pro with Push ??
My last post may have come across overly judgmental but if you hadn't guessed I was also trying to talk myself out of wanting one! I guess it could also be good for setting up nice polyrythmic stuff if it allows for changing of step length. But again push with pxt can do this. My one major gri...

Re: Push browser - slow, freezing, sluggish :(
https://www.ableton.com/en/help/article/reset-live/ If you're still using the older versions of live your preferences, templates etc will obviously be reset with this move. But It should make a difference as push searches all installed versions so deleting the preferences.cfg, template.als and undo....

Re: Using Arturia Beat Step Pro with Push ??
Ahh the danger of promo videos... If you own push you're not gonna find tighter integration anywhere else. You've got melodic and drum sequencing covered or you can choose to sequence melodic material via drum sequence or visa versa! LCD display, unlimited track banking, solo mutes (although these a...

9.2 love push upgrades thx abes mad zach testers etc
Auto upgrade was smooth. (was a bit confused with max/m4l version 7.03 or 7.04 but all seemed to install without probs) Everything plays as it should. The small changes to push make a huge improvement. Love the included 64 pad racks as it would have taken some time to construct just to get an idea s...

Re: (Free limited promo)Music Habits - The Mental Game of Music
The most motivating activity for me is going out and listening to some great music. The second is to read a great book on creativity in general or creativity and music production in particular. Had a quick look at the table of contents and figured it was more than worth the asking price. Few pages i...

Re: Making Music - the book
That Statement Most definitely describes ALL OF US!!!!!!!!! Well this and many other sections of the book I found to be really encouraging. I can read live tips/tricks and general music techniques all day but to have someone say 'Don't worry I get like this too have you tried this, or how about tha...

Quick example just playing around. I was feeling chilled n dreamy. https://clyp.it/dl5glijg
I think because my launch timing was out the loop overlay made things a bit phasey.

Re: PushChop-looping/chopping for the Push (excuse crosspost)
This should all mostly be in for the next incremental release which I hope to be done with by the end of this coming week. I hadn't really thought about making it commercial. Maybe once it gets to 2.0 and I have all the features I want in there. There's still a lot to be done (a granular synthesis ...

Most of the time, working on music feels like a thankless chore. Thought it was just me! You feel my pain Dennis.

Re: PushChop-looping/chopping for the Push (excuse crosspost)
Thanks so much for taking the time to put it through it's paces! I'm am especially glad to hear it is running on win 7 without much issue. I hadn't tested at all on Windows, so that makes me feel pretty good about my coding ;) When you arm for recording (pause/mute workaround) it doesn't erase the ...

Re: Help! How do you make a pitch riser that stays in key?
if one element's pitch rises like in the example you posted, it is most definitely not "staying in key". But that doesn't matter as long as that's the effect you're after. Certainly it might start and end at suitable notes in the key of the song (this is where the pitch bend range might c...

Re: Electron Overbridge with Live
The A4 has 4x CV out, not bad, but the Dominion 1 is definitely better if you don't need a sequencer (it has one anyway, but not the step and pattern sequencer as on the A4 and RTYM which is a major selling point) the A4 is also a fantastic drum machine as you can have a different analog sound on e...

Re: Electron Overbridge with Live
I didn't mention the a4? Specs look impressive but it lacks the cv connectivity of the dominion.I'm looking to expand on the minibrute sound sculpting possibilities and the a4 would only give sequencing (+ admittedly very nice sounds) but I can cv sequence already with live and oscillot or silent wa...
