There are actually three types of people in this world, those who know how to count and those who don’t. :P

Re: Movies

It really pisses me off that if you try to access Netflix from a portable device it doesn’t let you access the DVD site, even in the browser. It’s right up there with Apple not linking Apple Music to the iTunes store, but at least you can still access the iTunes store manually. Netflix gives you no ...

https://i.t3hwin.com/2016/11/Never-lose-your-AirPods-ever-again-.jpg Ironically its being reported that if you add these straps and shake your head a lot the AirPods will come out of your ears. The same amount of head shaking without the straps and they will stay in. Can't believe there were actual...

Re: T.V.

Started watching 11.22.63, Amazon original series but got the discs on Netflix. Really digging it and I’m surprised because it’s got 4 things I really couldn’t care less about – time travel, the Kennedy assassination, the 60’s, and James Franco. Most surprising to me is I find James Franco good in i...

Re: Movies

The Vengeance trilogy ("Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance," "Oldbody" (not to be confused with the terrible American remake), and "Lady Vengeance"), a very bloody and graphic, non-continuous trilogy of movies, each with the same overarching themes of revenge and salvation, bu...

Re: Forum has less input from Threads then a year ago.

If I posted the things I’ve posted in this thread a year ago I would have gotten a PM from a mod trying to convince me things are overall better now as a result of the crackdown. So it’s good to see they’ve at least lightened up on telling me to lighten up. :)

And occasionally an old local crawls through the window, takes a look around and wonders if the plan was just to turn the bar into a storage room as the evidence seems to indicate.

Re: Forum has less input from Threads then a year ago.

It’s like a tourist walking into a bar and complaining the locals are being too loud and boisterous. So the owner tells the locals to pipe down or leave because they are bothering the tourists. So the locals leave. The tourist enjoys their beer in peace for the weekend and never comes back and neith...

Re: Forum has less input from Threads then a year ago.

Basically this place was ruined for the old fogeys in favor of catering to the special snowflakes who have very little interest in holding a conversation.

Re: Proudly collecting music gear and software for no purpose

Watched about an hour’s worth of Maschine Jam tutorials on a subscription site and concluded other than the touch strips for performance it really brings nothing new to the table, especially if you own Push. If you are going all in on using Maschine standalone I could see it being useful. Since you ...

Re: Forum has less input from Threads then a year ago.

This place used to be great for interacting with a lot of like-minded people who happen to use Live. Met several people offline I still communicate with and occasionally see to this day. I get this is a company owned site and they don’t want it to be the free for all it once was, but they didn’t jus...

Re: House loop library packs

Sometimes I use Splice like the whole database is my personal library. If I think a funky muted guitar loop or soulful female vocal would work in a track I type it in the search and download a few to drag in. That may seem like an obvious use scenario from my description but I think a lot of times p...

Re: Big EDM producers' age

I went through a number of stages and have found as I grew older loving the stuff I use to hear my parents play (though hated it at the time). My mom and I are on the same heavy rotation page of music that predates both of us, a 172 track album of songs from the 1930’s. Something calming about it f...

Re: iPad

Ordered the Airpods using the Apple Store app on my iPhone and Apple Pay. It defaulted to shipping to my work. Good. That’s what I wanted. After placing the order I noticed it set my work address as the billing address too. WTF? That’s not what is setup for my card registered to Apple Pay. It’s also...
