Re: Thread for posting covers of Zelda and other videogame music
Mholloway: Is Metroid known for it's music? I've never really encountered the same sort of fandom about it as I did with Zelda. Nice work on it, though I'm not familiar with the original version.

Re: Can't stop running the arrangement while i'm playing clips
Thanx for the quick answer. But the problem is this. I want a clip or a intere scene or only 3 clips playing in the session without everything else playing, like i've done for years with ableton. If i choose a clip and i click on its play button the clip starts but starts also the arrangement. The ...

Re: Can't stop running the arrangement while i'm playing clips
The session clip playing will over-ride the arrangement only in the track that the clip is placed in, the rest of the arrangement will continue as normal. If you want just the session mode clips to play, activate the entire scene using the buttons along the right hand side of session mode.

Re: how to match all audio tracks to same pitch (tonality)?
Cool vid, interesting stuff. As for your question: you want to take a bunch of clips from other songs, and get some sort of automatic software to organise it so it all fits well together? Where's the fun in that? :P I'm guessing that even though the dude in the video is making it look easy, what you...

Re: Thread for posting covers of Zelda and other videogame music
Memes: That Bungle track is a classic, I'm all about those bass-runs at the "Stage Complete" lick. I've heard that they used to cover some Zelda themes live too, but I'm not sure if there are any decent recordings of them doing so. Scu: I highly recommend learning piano, I love it. When I ...

I support this notion as long as they open up a forum vote to decide what they're collaborative name would be.

Re: Thread for posting covers of Zelda and other videogame music
Thanks for listening guys...yeah I was in a nostalgic mood. I had a few requests for Song of Storms when I posted this on facebook...I might well do that one next. :) Scu: Yeah, played the whole thing myself in real time in one take. But as we're both producers, I'll tell you that I did hit exactly ...

Re: Ableton Lesbian DJ Webcomic Madness!
I actually know a female DJ who is pretty much exactly like this. She plays at some pretty big clubs, gets paid assloads more than my band ever has, but she literally doesn't know how to use the crossfader in her set. She has to get someone else to set up the CD decks, plug them in for her, all that...

Re: Saffire 6 vs Alesis I/O 2 express audio interface
If you're looking at the saffire 6 then you should check out the new Scarlett by the same company (focusrite). It looks very much the same but has better options for I/O - I purchased my saffire 6 shortly before the scarlett was announced, and as much as I like the saffire I wish I'd waited for the ...

I was under the impression that it would just be working. Because I heard somewhere that it does that. Works, that is. Just.

Re: Is there a relation between the triplet grid and swing?
It's time for one of my patented "horribly-explained clumsy attempts at clarifying music theory without the correct lexicon to do so" responses! :) Ok, so you're working in a standard 4/4 time signature: 1 - and - 2 - and - 3 - and - 4 Cranking up the swing moves the "and"s to th...

Re: Buying A Controller
rather complicated Actually, it's not a MIDI controller. Technically speaking, it uses an FTDI chip to communicate via its own protocol over USB, emulating a serial port. It then talks to its own little server called serialosc , which converts the Monome protocol to OSC protocol . There's an older ...
