Re: Push just for DJ / electronic ? Maybe contemporary pop/rock?
I'm not sure whether Push really lends itself to a linear workflow.
From what I can see it is very much about jamming in session view.

Write the music around the lyrics. I believe that is what System of a down did on Toxicity.

Re: Ableton Push: Questions & Answers
Its the python script that determines the number of user-modes. Based off what's been released, there is only 1 user mode out of the box. This doesn't mean other people won't write new scripts for the addition of more. But until people start dissecting the script with a physical push in their posse...

Re: Ableton Push: Questions & Answers
I'd love to know whether is more than one user mode? There are some many performance questions around this instrument for the most part most of the performance videos I have seen have involved alot of button pressing to move on to the next Instrument. Could? you put an instrument rack in and have th...

Funny that all the forums I frequent that have jpg signatures as standard this issue has never come up.

Re: What's the first thing you'll do in Live 9?
How about this: I'm using "hover-tips" over the track names so you can see the whole name of a track when you mouse over it. I can certainly do the same for the send dials, and you would then see the WHOLE name rather than just the letter. That would actually be even better. Awesome sugge...

Re: What's the first thing you'll do in Live 9?
Thanks for getting back to me Eric.
Im not sure of the limits of live but in order to save space would it be easier to have the send letter inside the rotary knob so it would save on space as I'm sure having them under it would chew up room.

Re: Dual Screen with floating windows (working with live)!
Don't get me wrong it serves its purpose to an extent.
It just seems it only requires a few more tweak to get it over the line & justify charging for it.
In saying that I have no idea what amount of effort it would take to develop something like this anyway.

Re: Dual Screen with floating windows (working with live)!
I bought it From another post Well I wouldn't bother wasting $9 on these Multi Window tools. I bought it and it is buggy as shit, slow and at times doesn't display anything in the floating windows at all. If you have anything over 8 sends in the floating mixed it doesnt display them and makes the to...

Re: Got an Ableton Laptop? Get WD Scorpion Black!
So you have transitioned from a desktop to a laptop for portability but have put everything on an external USB drive. I tried that for awhile but being chained to a USB device was too much as I move around alot. Does your laptop have a optical drive? I have had two laptops (Asus and a Macbook Pro) w...
