Project Frankenkeyboard: Possible?
Hello all, and happy new decade to you. I am thinking of undergoing a project, which might be foolish given my experience level in this area but would reap great benefits to me if it were to succeed. If you could, a.) give me tips on how to go about this, or b.) tell me why it couldn't work that wou...

Oh wait. I'm retarded. I switched over to Mac this year. So I'm going to say my MacBook White 2.8 GHz was my best purchase by far. It's been a long year, I guess.Baron von Case wrote:Fuck you guys, I didn't buy shit.

Re: Hating Christmas Rant
Don't let the loud majority raise your ire. There are still people living life for the right reasons, they're just usually not in your face about everything and aren't really represented by the brain dead media. I love Christmas, not as much as I used to when I was a kid, but I do. I am not a Christ...

Re: I would like to know how *put name here* builds his tracks
I would love to know how Boards of Canada produce their tracks. Their music is just so organic sounding that it almost sounds as if they are using all hardware or something... They are. Then they mix in Logic. Wish I could find where I read this (funny interview about spilling coffee on their equip...

Re: CME M-Key v2
imho you should stay away from : 1.M-audio (after 2 controllers and 2 audio interfaces by them I've sworn them off) 2.E-mu (lame controllers) 3.CME (a friend bought one and it was rotten...everything was on the cheap side... basically garbage wrapped in a metal casing) 4.Alesis (a company with no v...

Re: Non-Weighted/Synth Action Keys + Aftertouch?
Another possibility: E-MU Xboard 49. Much better built than you'd expect for the price, aftertouch (not polyphonic), 16 knobs (not endless encoders, alas, but with a nice feel), lots of editing options. USB powered, too; and also battery and AC power available with conventional MIDI connectors. I b...

Re: [OT] Ultima game series
I played Ultima Online for an embarrassing amount of time between the ages of 13-15; it was a great game. The operative word being "was." I got into it around The Second Age, got out of it after the 3D makeover.

Re: OT: KeyRig 49 - Aftertouch possible?
I'm almost 100% sure it doesn't. http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/KeyRig49.html
As far as I know, the only M-Audio keyboards to offer aftertouch are the Axiom and Axiom Pro series.

Non-Weighted/Synth Action Keys + Aftertouch?
Are there any midi controller keyboards you know of that are not weighted ("synth action") and have key aftertouch? I trained myself from childhood on unweighted keys and can't get used to this semi-weighted business. Sadly, most models that are going to put in the expense of aftertouch ar...

Re: CME M-Key v2
I own one of these - I'd avoid them if I was you. The keys seem to have two velocity settings - loud and soft - the slider is really jerky (basically unusable) and the top of the joystick will break off within about two weeks of you purchasing it. You pay peanuts, you get monkeys. (haha... mon-keys...
