Re: LIVE 8 PERFORMANCE TEST - Results Here
Ah, never mind my previous post- the download does indeed provide the right Live 8 set. Only its name is "Live 6-7 Perf. Test". So here the results (I bought this rig brandnew last week): 1 ) Ableton Live CPU Meter % - 31 percent (way too high, other comparable DAWs show 21% on average) 2 ...

Re: LIVE 8 PERFORMANCE TEST - Results Here
Hello. When I download the Live 8 Test Project, I get a set that is named "Live 6-7 Performance Test". Is this the right set ? I am confused by the old name of this project. (I definitely chose the right link for the download.) Should't the name for this project be "Live 8 Performance...

Re: Anyone using Intel i7?
Hello Ilia. You posted like this: "just did a new build with an i7 920. overclocks on stock voltage to 3.66 out of the box, stays cool, fast, stable. yes, it's worth it." As I am getting an i7 system next week, I'd like to ask you some questions: 1) Software-wise, did you only have to chan...

Live 8: Better multicore handling over Live 6 or not ?
Hello.
I use Live 6.0.11.
I have been wondering whether Live 8 is better or more efficient at dealing with a multicore PC/Windows XP system than Live 6.
Can anyone enlighten me on this issue ?
Thanks.

Re: I need a free web host / audio hosting service
Update on my judgment about Soundcloud:
Choppy playback may have been related to the source material and its recoding to 128kbps done in Audacity (free audio editor).
Will have to test some more as my second track sounded all right.

Re: I need a free web host / audio hosting service
Concerning Soundcloud: I tested the audio playback quality today: Result: My track sounded a bit choppy , different from Virb or Soundclick. Many of my tracks are still hosted at last.fm , however, it has a will of its own. It suddenly dropped 2 of my tracks into nirvana, without any fault of myself...

L8b16: Arrangement Overview not immediately updated ...
Hi. The Arrangement Overview (small horizontal lines at the top of Arrangement View) are not immediately updated after deleting clips or parts of clips, or after deleting time. To update the overview, one has to click and zoom a bit in the overview. (In Live 6.0.11 Final, this overview updating take...

Re: L8beta15 : Auto Filter LFO affects the track Panorama, too.
I tried the same set in Live 6.0.11.
The "unexpected" behavior is there, too.
But I think the LFO/S&H should only affect the filter, not the pan.
For pan mod there is the pan pot... (does this sound intelligent ?)

L8beta15 : Auto Filter LFO affects the track Panorama, too.
Hello, likely I found a bug in Auto Filter. With certain settings, its LFO not only affects the filter, but also the Panorama of the respective track. Please replicate it by setting up a set as follows: Create New Set. Create MIDI or Audio track (= track 1). Place any material on Track 1 and loop it...

SOLVED: Cannot even start L8.12b "Serious Program Error"
Hello, 8.12beta got installed today. Upon trying to start it, I get the message "A serious program error has occurred. Live will shut down after this message box has been closed." I don't even get to authorizing it. However, the VST folder gets scanned properly. Misbehavior seems to occur ...
