Re: Theory: New official Ableton controller
I think it's a great shame Novation dropped their Speed Dial. I wanted to see them do a standalone mini controller that just consisted of a Speed Dial. Maybe Ableton could make one. The Ableton Knob. Agree! It was super useful on my novation nocturn. Hated the fact that automap had to run every tim...

Theory: New official Ableton controller
Ableton Pull. With faders galore (hence, Pull). It'll be smaller than the Push and it's meant to complement, not replace, the Push. Think about it: Push's lack of faders is a glaring omission, especially for those who intend to use it in a live setting. So rather than, ahem, push people to seek out ...

Has anybody received their Push yet?
I'm asking laypeople, not certified ableton trainers and celebs, of course.

Re: Why Quantity is more important than Quality in music making
Excellent post. It reminded of this quote by Ira Glass: “What nobody tells people who are beginners — and I really wish someone had told this to me . . . is that all of us who do creative work, we get into it because we have good taste. But there is this gap. For the first couple years you make stuf...

That's awesome!
Thanks man, I might try it out soon.
Both my laptop and desktop are macs so it should work without a hitch.

Re: Syncing two libraries using dropbox/google drive
Well, Just tried the second option. Problem is, I use samplers with large numbers of multisamples (ye olde 128s). Syncing two libraries using dropbox/google drive
I have a desktop and laptop and I'd like to keep the Ableton Live libraries on both computers in sync.
Is this possible using a cloud service like dropbox or google drive?
Has anybody tried this before?
If so, how is it working for you? Have you run into any problems or is it foolproof?
Thanks!
