I've never had that issue with the Push. Maybe try a different color scheme for your pads? IDK.

Well, you can edit individual tracks. You can edit individual effect devices on said track. You can edit individual pads and devices on said pads....so I don't see why what you want isn't possible.

Like to edit the first bar, it could be one color while in the first beat, and progress colors per beats until the step sequencer completely moved on to the next bar.

It seems simple enough in theory...thoughts?

I still don't understand the problems people have with the browser. Using the User Library, everything is organized well automatically. From VST presets to drum samples...

The gist is you group it is a rack and then save it as a preset.

...Well that's because you're on Log 5 if I'm not mistaken. It doesn't take as much pressure to send it to max velocity.

I mean instead of loading 8 samples onto each pad, you load one sample and it auto-populates Impulse within a drumrack. Any thoughts? I don't think it can be done...but I'm an idiot.
