I'm going to link to this thread from the digidesign user's forum - I'll put money on the fact that they will delete my post within 2 hrs.
I know they read the posts... every once in a while a digi manager pops in and bullshits everyone into thinking they're on it...

hell - I hope Logic never works like that - I used Logic for a while - then one day this company from Cupertino, California decided to buy the company and in the process decided to discontinue any development on my platform... ( the one from Redmond, WA) SO if it means rewire integration is a bit qu...

forget about 5.02b3 - that guy has crashed... and crashed, and crashed... and ...you get the picture... since its beta test i lose stuff each time... I want to be perfectly clear that I am referring to how it behaves in my setup - I don't doubt that for other people some of the quirks I've run into ...

ableton 5 on the tecra was fine - well as fine as Live 5 can be at this point - I consider it to be pretty buggy still and sucks compared to previous versions when it comes to system load and performance. I'll let you know how it turns out with the M10 - If you ask me - working with more screen real...

this continues for years until the guy has every kind of gear you can imagine, by then he's forgotten every song he ever learnt and loved on guitar.[/quote] Our friend was obviously easily swayed by public opinion and possibly unsure of himself as an artist since clearly he could have done away with...

Question about Live releases and Demos
I've been meaning to ask this for oh 3 or 4 yrs. now. Why doesn't the installer remove or ask to remove previous versions of live when installing? What is the thinking behind my ending up with umpteen versions on live installed on my machine..? Once a new version is installed can I just delete the p...

I have a tecra 9100 p4 m with only 512 ram - it has pt, live, and reason + some plugins. I wasn't too thrilled with what I got out of it - the ram has a lot to do with it. So next week I'm moving it all to a M10 - and i think it will perform much better than the tecra. 1.5 ghz centrino. sorry i can'...

I'll echo what others have said here - The MAUDIO BX5 Studiophiles are great. Now that MAUDIO came out with the next generation of these- the originals are going for a lot less than before. Scrounge up a few more pennies - or hell see if someone is looking to upgrade to the newer b5's and looking to...

it's no mystery - Digi has some weird convoluted plan in mind with the acquisition of Maudio and M-powered PT - The thing that puzzles me is that if they intended to make the maudio stuff the lite -version and digi 02/mbox the next level this new mbox2 w- 6.8 suggests that it is in fact making a sep...

That's a very good and often ignored point - Do you have any idea the kind of damage smoke does to your equipment!!?? Second-hand smoke kills gear too...!!! And forget about trying to sell any equipment if it has been sitting in a smoky studio - Many years ago - before I went to college, I had this ...

No nO No - Their Motto actually goes something like this : Digidesign ProTools - the company that Avid made suckier than before. Here at Digidesign, we can't program worth a damn - and neither can our parent company. We release products that don't work properly and fall back on our HCL baloney. Digi...
