Because your version of Live 9 is an upgrade, it would make sense that the software needs to see a licensed version of Live 8 in order to install successfully.

Live 9 Suite goes beyond Essential Instruments Collection (EIC2) - you get the full Orchestral Instruments Collection (OIC).

For an extra fifty bucks I sprang for the box. There's no way that DSL can handle a download that size. Besides, the stickers are way cool.

With Suite, you get the full OIC - a package that was priced at US$800 when it was originally released.

Go into Global Mode on the MicroKORG and play around with the velocity curve. Make sure that the maximum value is 127. However, it seems the MicroKORG, unlike the KORG workstations, does not offer the user a choice of multiple velocity curves.

Or, create a group track containing just the single track. This will give you independent fader control without affecting the automation on the track itself.

There's a slight chance that the installation DVD contains a corrupted "woodwinds" package. If you encounter this problem, there is a fix as detailed in this thread from 2009:

He is unable to drag a clip from one point to another and have the automation follow. Locked automation is the likely culprit. His *workaround* is copy/paste which is doing the trick. But his original issue is the inability to drag a clip from one point to another and have the automation follow.

Check to see whether the automation is locked. Look for the padlock icon on the righthand side of the track in arrangement view. If it is lit orange, this might be the culprit.
