there is - create a tape saturated sample of your own using Nepheton
BTW - I don't work for D16. But if they're watching and want to give me any freebies, I'm a shameless gearslut and will accept

I think we are giving way too much credit to the dude to say he deserves his own category. Why stop there ? Give him a late night chat show. Give him an honourary knighthood. Make him Irish citizen of the year based on the fact he is good at finding offensive google pics, stirring up a shitstorm and...

Make sure they're royalty free before purchasing - other loops attributed to him he wants $100 per track you use them in, such as the ones included in FL Studio in his name (which they have now put a disclaimer on saying they are 'for demonstration purposes only')

Re: Frequencies when mastering
I agree with you because you can never recreate the sounds, room, mics, amps, musicians and their playing or vocal qualities, exactly anyway, making it a moot point in my book, so matching equalization and gain will never really work out optimally. I don't use it any way when working on my own or an...

Re: Live not supported as Major DAW.. Why?! Audient etc
Cubase and Logic etc are not easier and faster than Live to use in my experience, which is one of the reasons why I love Live. Cubase and Logic are maybe more convenient for recording a band live in the studio micing up drums and amps etc, as the arrangement view is (IMHO) better, allows for fast ta...

Re: Frequencies when mastering
Tarekith is correct. Use your ears. After a while you can train your listening skills to be sensitive to which frequencies are too much or not enough. However, I do own Harbal 2.3, http://www.har-bal.com/ which I use for reference purposes occasionally and for kicks and giggles, which has reference ...

Re: $200, What to do?
Well spotted MW - I was joking, of course ! BTW - the XILS lab synths are available both as i-lok, or e-licenser (syncrosoft) dongleiszed options on the full product. So if you have Cubase, Arturia, Virsyn, or other syncrosoft products, you don't need to buy a second dongle system (i-lok, as in prot...

Re: NI Voucher Free Synth which to choose
They all have downloadable demos - why not try before buy first, this is the common sense option.
They are all great vsts, so it depends on what you already have and what sounds you're looking for.
