The website does not mention Rewire. How do you get Kantos audio into Live. As a VST Plug? Without Rewire it won't show up as an input option...or will it?

Geraldo: Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can't use one midi hardware in to control both Live and rewired Reason simulataneously, can you? If so, call me an idiot, cause I know I tried, and found midi ox to be the solution. If this is true, the same applies to FL rewired to live--I'm pretty sure it...

I have just now downloaded FL 4.51 and found the same bug. When rewired to Live FL Studio is not getting and midi info from my keyboard, but when I run FL 4.51 alone it works fine. I really don't have time to hunt down "MIDI ox" or whatever freeware so I hope it gets straightened out. My g...

quantization quandry

When the snap to grid button is lit the feature is off, and when the button is dark the snap to grid feature is on??? Am I the only person who finds this counter-intuitive? I guess it indicates snap to grid is the default setting and green means it is changed?

What are your hardware settings on the Omni interface? Is it set to "monitor mixer"? If it is not, you may be listening to the harware1/2 output from your mic before it is routed to the program. To monitor thru you must have the Omni set to monitor mixer. As for the hangs and crashes... Is...

Reminds me of three people trying to share an "all you can eat buffet". I think the restaurant manager will say no.
I agree with "Guest". If you give up drugs and alcohol for a year you would pay for Live many times over. And probably get better grades while your at it.

That's great but your comparing stuff that we can't reproduce. We have a baseline on this forum using the original demo arrangement from version 1.0. Please load it and tell us what your CPU says at bar 49. I think people might find that more informative. Thanks for being the lab-rat, I am waiting t...

So there are no performance gains using Live under Panther...how about rewired to Reason or Logic? Same cpu load? Same track count? Guess I'll stay with Jaguar a while. I don't need Expose for $130.

i would have to disagree re: using live as a daw. i think that live is an incredible tool for both live performance and studio sequencing/arranging, etc... however, i do not think that the rendering engine is at a stage where audio mixed down and "mastered" completely in live can stand up...

I think Live is great as a DAW. I know it was originally concepted ( is that a word?) as a live performance instrument, but quickly people realized you could track, mix and compose with it. I have to do things differently than I would in Cubase or Logic but that is fine because I have grown to prefe...

Live is all about audio. The point is to get away from VSTi's and think differently about sound creation. If Ableton supports VSTi's I think that would mean creating a midi sequencer/editor module just so you could sound like every other freak'n electronica clone out there. I don't know any musician...

Live was designed to compliment existing software that already does VSTi. That's why Live uses Rewire. You can Rewire Live to Cubase ( if you must ). I personally find Reason does everything I need. The better I get at programming Reason, the less I am interested in VSTi's. Except for Absynth... But...

PC render to disk problem

Hi all, I usually work on my Mac so I have not worked with 2.03 on PeeCee yet. Everything works fine except when I try to render to disk the file is corrupt, according to Windows media player 9. I know how to render to disk I've done it a billion times on both machines but not yet with 2.03 on the P...
