Re: Ableton Live and Reason Studio Rack
So Nicolas, to follow up to my earlier post, try starting out with Combinators. You should be easily able to map 8 controls on your Arturia to the 8 controls of the Combinator. That should work on any instance of RRP with a Combinator. Going beyond that will require a lot of trial and error on your ...

Re: Output Speakers
One gotcha when you select the computer speakers for output, you won't hear anything in the headphones attached to the interface any more until you set up a cue buss and route that to the interface.

Re: Ableton Live and Reason Studio Rack
I've gone through this nightmare with the Reason Rack Plugin inside Logic. The RRP advertises over two thousand parameter slots to the host and what parameters of what rack device are assigned to which slot vary quite a bit. The host DAW only sees the instance as an RRP. It does not have any way of ...

No, leave it there. As I recall, all you have to do is authorize the license and you're good to go.

Re: Audio Capture Pitch Change
I am setup with a guitar/bass amp line out into a lexicon alpha interface into the computer into an Audio track (vs midi). Is there a setting I’m missing that automatically detunes live audio? Check the sample rate settings of both your Alpha interface and Live's Preferences tab and make sure they ...

Re: Newbie questions
Plugins can be MIDI or audio effects. It's not just instruments. If you want more instruments for free, go to KVR Audio which has links to thousands of plugins of all kinds. There's a search engine, just set it to search for free and you'll find more plugins than you could ever possibly use. If you ...

Why can't you download 1.8GB? Do you have some kind of data limit?

Re: Beringher td3 and beringher crave sync
Read the manuals for the TD3 and the Crave. In particular the sections about MIDI over USB and slaving to an external clock. Make the appropriate settings. In Live's Preferences panel for MIDI, set the Sync setting to Off for the input and On for the Output to both devices. This will assure that Liv...

Re: Using keyboard built in sounds for song export
Guess you're new to using external instruments...it's always necessary to record the audio at some point before you can export.

Re: Does the Roland TB 03 need drivers to run in Sierra?
kebabman, Audio/MIDI Setup on your Mac is your friend. Always check there first when a device cannot be located by Live. Roland has never had class compliant interfaces. You always need their drivers for full functionality. Of course, as products get old, driver support fades away which impacts Mac ...

I have an iMac a year older than yours, with slower CPU and less RAM...no issues.

Re: Help - will this work with Live
Go double-check that your Audio Preferences have both mono (left column) and stereo (right column) options enabled. You will see 1, 2 and 1&2 (three "rows") as options in the track input selector if you have both properly enabled in the preferences.

Re: Mixing in mono on a single speaker?
i'm not following your logic here, why not collapse to mono in Live? Sorry, I should have been more specific in my response. It depends on how you like to compare mixes. I keep three different speaker systems connected to a switcher and carefully balanced them to be all equal level, to avoid volume...
