cleanest code.
most modules.

makes joomla look really messy.

go with drupal. nothing comes close.
Does it support having several users with different profiles for content creation/management?

So, who's already using Live 6 for producing AND gigs?

Ok, so, live 6 is out, but there's a lot of silence regarding it.
Who's using it for producing and gigs? Do you find it stable/dependable enough? Similar to 5.2, better, what?

How's it performing in non-dual core CPUs? Better, similar, or worse than 5.2?

Thanks!

I was really used to resampling my tracks to save CPU use. How do you compare working one way or the other? (resampling vs freezing). i've found that commiting to a sound by resampling forces me to think twice, and to really get the sound I'm after before recording it, which makes me focus more, and...

I think the new thing in electronic music will be for people to forget all about the seperation between electronic and guitar based music that happend in the 90s and just make music again Lately, I've been thinking exactly that. Go back to my roots up to some point. Embrace all the ideas and concep...

I think that the ones I've came across the more are joomla and wordpress. I wonder, if I want to have a site that will have several people contributing content, which one is better? let's say that there's a "photo" section, and it has a list of administrators, an "audio" section ...

Of course render uses time compression. When 5 minutes takes 1, it's time compression. Is it adding/taking audio away like warp? No. I can see how i went south on that. My bad. I find that misleading. There's not compression of anything. It's an offline process, you're comparing apples to oranges h...

I love when this kind of conversations come up, it's a pity that just some of us jump into them...they seem to dissappear much quicker than, let's say a discussion regarding the last VST or controller... :( first tomperson: Also, electronic music in the sense of being novelty, well, because it's a &...

Very interesting posts here. I find my own views reflected in many of them. I think there are a couple things (at least to be said). Electronic music as an entertainment/mainstream/club genre, personally at least, is dying. Too many copies of copies of copies. Too many DJs that suddenly say "he...

It's not just a matter of bugs, but it is also a question of design decisions. For example, when coding a "traditional" daw, the design team can just leave timestretching/pitchshifting as an offline process, hence, the development team can afford implementing an algorithm that eats as much...

all that said, i think this is ableton's fault. they should make clear how users can avoid affecting audio quality when they don't need tempo changes but want loops and envelopes, because there seem to be a significant number of people who want to use live this way and are confused. i would think t...

knotkranky, please take note of what Robert said, unfortunately your former posts are full of misconceptions, you should not say things as if they were facts when in reality, YOU DON'T KNOW FOR SURE. That only helps spreading misconceptions.

Take it as an advice, not as a personal attack.

remember, daws are all the same since it's digital 1's and 0's...... Just like cables/connectors........there are no differences in them right? If someone says "wow, listen to the difference between these" to a deaf person ( or a ......dumb person.......), the deaf person wouldn't be able...
