What would they have to add to make it 5.1 capable? I'll admit I've never really looked in to mixing in surround, but isn't it just separate audio streams (6 in the case of 5.1)? I use Live for performances where I send 4 channels of audio to the FOH console. Why can't you just configure it for 6 ch...

Maybe it's a latency issue?

I've never had any problems recording my electric guitar, tin whistle or violin when playing along with midi drums and bass. But I do two things: 1.) I've adjusted Live so that the latency offset (The value you can change in "overall latency" in the audio preferences) was set correctly. 2....

I've heard you can disable the motors as well. I'm now trying to think of when I would actually want them to move. Good point.

On granny farting... I'd be cool to capture the "oopsie" too!

You've got a point having real knobs available. That's why I love my bcr2000!

but remember, this is the flame war areana of doom. So annoying opinions presented as fact are always better than logical statements and meaningful discourse. Right, then.... just to keep things balanced: I can do more with $200 worth of soft synths than someone can with $20000 in analog! :P It's a...

Cool.

What's your take on the noise of the fader motors? I've heard they are loud and have put off buying one until I can "hear" it in the store. I already have a bcr2000 and it's really quiet. :)

You forgot one other option for the poll: Neither. Each has their own sound. Asking if it sounds "good" is STRICTLY a matter of opinion. Also, something that sounds BAD may be RIGHT for a given application. No software synth is going to emulate an analog sound perfectly. No analog synth co...

Well I use a rotary to select a scene and then a button to lauch the selected scene. That works fine. Don't really see a reason to use a rotary ...

data resolution from controllers. // C That's exactly it. Think of a light dimmer. 1 bit resolution means it could either be 1 or 0, or on or off. Not a good dimmer. If you had 2 bit resolution, then you could have 11 (full on), 10 (less bright), 01 (dim), and 00 (off) again, not real useful becaus...
