Re: MASCHINE MIKRO!!!!!!
I wonder.. why does NI offer to cross-grade Maschine -> Komplete .. but not the other way around ? :| +1 I'm saving for maschine + komplete. I was going to get komplete first, but it seems that i have to do it all backwards.. Annoying. Oh. to the topic: Maschine mikro WTF? It dont seem THAT much sm...

Re: You just stay home and play synthesizers
If you have the money then something like the Nord Lead could be a good choice for a beginner. Basic functions, not too much menu diving, all the important parameters there at your fingertips and it sounds good. DSI MoPho keyboard could be a good choice too if you dont need polyphony. Cheap and _pha...

Browse to www.google.com -> search for those particular pieces of gear -> learn what they do -> learn what you want to do -> decide.

Re: I need help with choosing the right MacBook
Get a Mac mini. I used to use one before I got my i7 iMac. The current mini is a total ripoff. 2.4ghz core^2 is way old for the price.. I would pay 300€ for that model :D 13" macbook pro is decent for Live. Unless you are going to use tons and tons of hi-end plugins. I have 4 years old 2.2ghz ...

Re: Ableton Live and BCR2000?
1. Search for "remote control scripts". You might find some ready made ones for your controller or you could roll your own. Its not that hard. 2. Not shure.. Have you enabled "remote" from Lives midi preferences? edit: Googling with "BCR2000 ableton live remote script":...

Re: compact disc.. do you still buy them (no seriously..)
I dont buy CDs. Spotify, Beatport & iTunes has killed that for me. Its just so much convinient to buy digital music: click click -> download -> win.
My GF buys them though.. she has hard time to give up from the cover art and the feeling of having lots of records in a shelf..

Re: How to add warmess to your setup for less than 100$
Hmm.. I have old Sansui amp from the 70's lying around.. Big and heavy with DIN connectors and wooden casing. I might try to put some basslines thru its tape monitor I/O. I love the loundess setting (the disco smile) on that also. Use it all the time when listening to music. It might do some magic f...

I just bought nano studio and was really blown away! I mean whoa! It just works!
I also got the 16 track feature after making one song in the 6 track mode.
Now I'm just waiting for my summer vacation and some nice moments of making music outdoors

Re: Clarification about macs and hard drives?
If i remember correctly FAT32 officially supports only partition sizes up to 32 gigabytes (altough real limit is something like 8 tb..). I think thats why windows won't allow you to format big drives to FAT. And it does not support larger files than 4gb and there was some limitations about file name...
