Re: Post your Live 9 upgrade path and price
I have Suite 8 + M4L now ---> Suite 9 $234 So you get to upgrade for (using dollars to pounds) £145 and yet in the UK it works out (using Euros to pounds) at £160. Meh. so.. I have Suite 8 boxed + M4L and the Orchestral Instrument Collection and get to pay $334, nearly $100 more... that makes sense...

Re: Post your Live 9 upgrade path and price
People, this will make NO sense unless people with, say, Live 8 (non-Suite) list TRUE I own: Live 8 Operator Analog Sampler Tension Electric EIC 2 Drum Machines Max For Live http://imageshack.us/a/img525/9307/live9i.jpg So let me see if I'm getting this... you get to upgrade from Live 8 to Suite 8 ...

Re: will you upgrade?
I feel the same.
I have Suite 8, MAX for Live and their Orchestral Instrument library and it is going to cost me $334 to upgrade?
So far, I really like what I've seen of Push and it makes me glad that I didn't buy Maschine as it is ideal, but $883? really?

Re: Post your Live 9 upgrade path and price
In the USA, I have Live Suite 8 Boxed + M4L and their Orchestral Instrument library
Live 9 Standard -------$ 159
Live 9 Suite ----------$ 334
Live 9 Standard + Push -$ 728
Live 9 Suite + Push ----$ 883
this seems very steep to me

Re: External sound boxes for guitar and synth piano (launchpad)
the "pro answer" here is RTFM (Read The Fucking Manual) ...seriously. This is the third topic you've started for the same question. all this has been said to you before. first, MIDI is not sound. The Launchpad is only a controller and doesn't actually do anything. It is a substitute for us...

Re: Do I really need ableton for my launchpad?
The only problem I am having is getting sound out of my MacBook when I plugging in the launchpad. It works but there is no sound. I don't think that is the only problem.. Can your MacBook play music in iTunes? If yes, then you have no real issue that reading a manual can't fix. There is no reason t...

Re: Roland Juno 106 and Live
gutted - the seller ended up flogging it to someone else - altho i swear he just put the price up on gumtree. looking now at the jp-8000 - different beast i know, but any opinions on this? Great synth and IMO a much better choice. It was my first, purchased new in '97. I sold it after getting a Jup...

Re: Roland Juno 106 and Live
This is personal opinion and it may or may not be be helpful.. but there is no "legendary" Juno 106 sound... It is an ok synth that is now overpriced and best left to collectors. The reason why everyone has used one is because they were cheap and simple, not because they were a great synth...

Re: Introducing the Ableton Blog!
I just wanted to take a moment to say that I hope that this continues, I am really enjoying the blog so far. This is another definite plus of Ableton, that there is much more of a "community" surrounding it than I've ever experienced with other DAWs. Keep up the good work!

Re: Help With Recording drums.
Just trying to record drums straight into computer bro. ... okay. I'm just going to assume you mean that you are wanting to record the sounds coming from your e-kit as audio into the computer, yes? first, MIDI isn't sound. MIDI is control data, like note-on, note-off. You would use it if you...

Re: IrcaMax M4L devices
I really hope this doesn't seem as clueless as other comments... how do you download the free plug-ins? as far I can tell, there is only the Order button and I clicked that, followed the process (using google to confirm my assumption that Etats-Unis meant USA (which is similar to Estados Unidos whic...

Re: What feature in live 9 would be a game changer for you
I would really like to see AAS's Tassman included in the Suite. As a Suite 8 user with Max for Live, that is the one thing that could happen that would make Live the perfect all in one program. That and the polyphonic pitch adjustment found in Melodyne and some really nice processing plug-ins compar...

Re: THE NEW BIG USER REQUESTS TOPIC FOR LIVE9!!!!
I would assume this has been suggested, but I didn't find it mentioned... but, the one thing I would truly LOVE to see added to Live is AAS's Tassman their instruments in the Ableton Suite are fantastic and if Tassman's modular environment were to be included, the Ableton Suite (+M4L) would really b...
