Re: THE BIGGEST reason why a 3rd party bit-bridge sucks

PS you can't blame people wanting to use 64 bit to get the full use out of their RAM on the pc.
Yes there will be problems but lets try helping people rather than crappy smart arse replies... That is all.

Re: THE BIGGEST reason why a 3rd party bit-bridge sucks

yeah, when i bought a Mac with 64 bit OS i thought everything would "just work". it's totally not my fault that i switched, i had nothing to do with it. and 3DW... moving forward i will use your last post as an example of the epitome of good manners. thanks for showing me the way. BTW, ar...

Re: THE BIGGEST reason why a 3rd party bit-bridge sucks

i suppose that's Live's fault. shop for up to date plugins Fuck off man!!! im fed up off pedantic dicks like you on here. It is a valid issue for people that have a set off plugins that they like to use... This is my case also. Im not going to update my whole collection of things i like just...

Re: THE BIGGEST reason why a 3rd party bit-bridge sucks

impossible to migrate all your plugins. I know that about 60% of mines are not even available in 64 bit.

Re: THE BIGGEST reason why a 3rd party bit-bridge sucks

Most of my crashes have been due to my old pc not being able to handle big projects, Now i have a new super machine i hope these are alot less frequent. If this is the case with the jbridge then thats bad news!
I am relying on the bridge now since converting to 64bit so this could be very frustrating.

Re: basic compressor question, amplifying instead of ducking

Have you tried setting up a ghost kick drum playing on the off beat? Side-chain to the muted ghost kick and the compressor will duck after your main kick.

Running Live with more than one drive.

Im about to upgrade and build a pc with three hard disks. I will have an SSD drive running Live and all other apps and software. One drive will hold all my sample library and the other would be for recording audio. This all sounds well and fairly simple, but... Im confused on how this will work for ...

Re: Buying new pc, looking for a bit of advice

interestingly, 32 bit v9 was a crash fest for me. I'm now running 64 bit and the program is noticeably more responsive/quicker when working in it. It's also a LOT more stable on my system then 32 bit ever was. The trade off was no 32 bit plugs, but I will run those in Live 8 Have you tried running ...

Re: Buying new pc, looking for a bit of advice

Ok ive read a bit more on the 64 bit version. Seems i got that wrong as max does run with 64 bit in Live 9
I think i was getting mixed up with Live 8 and the fact that you need a bridge for 32 bit VST's to run in Live 9.

Re: Buying new pc, looking for a bit of advice

I disagree with Schmidi. First becasue Intel drops sockets and each one will serve two generations of CPU, so it will only last ONE CPU upgrade. Better to go with the best CPU you can afford right know. save on the motherboard, you dont need SLI, or Crossfire, configuration. About RAM 8 is plenty, ...

Re: Buying new pc, looking for a bit of advice

The sales team have recommended buying as much ram as i can afford but i was going to go with the minimum for this system which is 16gb. This is purely as im aware that Live will only be able to use up to 4gb in 64bit. My main gripe with my current PC is the performance within Live and not so much ...
