Re: Reinstalling lots of VST after hard drive format

Why not image your computer (preferably after a format and reinstall) using software like Acronis Truimage then restore the image once formatted

Re: Live9 very slow with VST plugins...

So, for a test I started with a blank set with 1 MIDI track with Zebra, Timeless and Volcano. Created a 1 bar clip with one note, then duplicated it 80 times. Surprisingly everything worked fine, pretty much the same as a normal set which, for me, usually consists of no more than 24 tracks. I tried...

Re: Live9 very slow with VST plugins...

The spec of your laptop looks fine. Are the system drivers for it up to date, particulatly the BIOS, chipset and video drivers. Also, what plugins do you use? As you're using Windows, what does the Performance tab of Task Manager report when you are experiencing this behaviour? Do you have anything...

+1 for Turnado especially. And Replicant from Audio Damage is excellent.

Re: Don't install the 9.1.6 update.

My L9.1.6. is very hard to start, it takes about 3 or 4 tries to get past the insta-crash. It also freezes a lot. Sadly theres no available download link for the previous version. Do you have any M4L devices in your startup set? Yes I do, and I think that's the problem. My template set has the Conv...

Re: Live startup woes

I've sent in more Crash Reports in the last month than I did in the past 6 months combined. On an average workday I get at least one crash, often more like 3 to 4. I also get the 'long start-up time' issue. But sometimes it's been as high as 4 - 5 minutes. Not great! -M I've had no crashes since I ...

Re: I need information before purchase an Ableton licence

Hehe, download RAM, funny link. But, thanks I don't need to, I have 8Go, and an i5 3.2Ghz, this is not a "performance" problem. So I imagine if I buy Ableton, maybe (I hope) there will disapears (crashes) or at least there will be more rare? If you ever do decide to go legit I'd recommend...

Re: Live startup woes

I think the startup lag has something to do with memory. When I launch Live the process (as viewed with Windows Task Manager) starts immediately and the memory starts counting up (I think it starts about the 64MB mark). Only once it reaches between 100-120MB does the application then start to load (...

Live startup woes

Ever since v9 Live has been taking upwards of 2 1/2 mins to launch. This is only when I first start Live after I switch on or reboot my laptop. If I then shut down Live and re-open it opens immediately. Also, since 9.16, Live has been crashing with an Application Error if I try to launch it straight...

Re: Pitch problems with u-he Diva in Ableton.

Does it still sound out of tune if you select a different patch or transpose the notes up a few octaves?
